So I just got a Crown of Ages helmet. I was very excited about it as I know how useful it is and how much it can be worth. However the one I found has only one socket totallying only 18% Damage Reduction (with ber) and +26 to resistances. I'm making a PVP BvC and was wondering if I should just dump this rather crappy COA and obtain a much better Arreats (socket it with a Ber/Um or other useful rune). IMO 18% is really low but coupled with enigma I guess 27% is better then nothing? What do you guys think I should do. Thanks alot in advance.
On a barb, you get more out of an arreat's unless you really need to work on your dr - but as a bvc your targets would primarily be elementals and magic wielders which means dr wouldn't really be necessary.
Ok, thanks for the response. Should I hold on to the COA or attempt to trade it. I feel that I'm going to get next to nothing if I try to trade it since its so low.
Thats not that bad. I'm going to hold onto it for now. I almost traded it for an arreats. I was wondering why the entire game filled up within seconds....Glad I didnt trade it.
Even a junk arreats that you can wear is good, since defense is the least in terms of what you'd need on a BvC. Ber'd CoA is really handy in pubs, even that low one. 27% overall is alot better then nothing. Not sure if a string of ears/dungo's is sensible balance-wise for you, but if you did use it you could boost to 42% DR which is plenty (if needed).
