Sharing level 30 mp character for nm/he.

Hi,

I was wondering if it's at all possible that someone makes a level 30+ multiplayer charcter available for all the players who don't want to level a mp char to level 30 in order to play on nightmare and hell difficulty levels in single player?

Please do not make such a charcter available until a moderator has confirmed that it's allowed to do this in this forum.

Whith level 30+ multi player characters it's possible to start nightmare and hell games. Due to a bug in the game, it's possible to have the difficulty setting carry over from multi player to single player, allowing players without the Hellfire expansion to play nightmare and hell games in single player.

Well I'm sure you can google to find a savegame with a 30+ char but it could be potentially dangerous. I don't think it takes that long to get to 30 yourself, then you can make SP games in either difficulty, as you said first creating higher difficulty MP then the SP game.
As far as sharing saves on forum goes, me thinks it's a no no.

I suppose I could just level myself, but I'd rather continue playing with my current character, which is the reason I asked. Oh well, if no one wants to share a character or it's just not allowed here, I'll just have to do it myself then

You're right, it doesn't take that long I'm doing it now, and the exp gain is much better than single player. The character just keeps gaining level after level. Guess it's time for nightmare difficulty level soon.

It doesn't hurt to ask, which is why I wanted mod confirmation. It never came, so, there, you're right, it's not allowed here.

The only reason I actually asked all this, is because I just wanted to continue my single player character. It seemed like more fun to not have to start over, while some players might actually play multiplayer only, so sharing a char seemed like a good idea.

You can give a copy of your character file to anyone you want.Just copy the file to a disk or e-mail it .If you have a friend who has a high level char, ask him to e-mail it to you. The files are in your D1 folder.

But you need a level 30+ multiplayer character in order to play in nightmare and hell difficulties with single player characters. Multiplayer characters are stored at battle.net, not in your Diablo folder.

No, multiplayer characters for Diablo 1 are stored on your computer, not on battle.net. That is why it is so easy to hack them, much like it is easy to hack open battle.net characters in D2 (effectively D2 Open battle.net = D1 battle.net).

Anyway, I was talking about direct cable and TCP/IP only. Doing this on B.net is cheating.
