A Powerful and Easy CLVL 9 LLD Build Guide

this is NOT my build, all credit goes to warlock and others, who actually came up with this build.

the sources i used for this come from:

LLD mk2 thread (or whatever it called) and ~ around page 5 (too lazy to post exact link to it, at the moment)

*needs hell rush to be most powerful. all character boosting quests.*

the clvl 9 healer-smiter LLD build:

stats:

57 str, rest into vit.

skills:

max into prayer, at least 1 pt into smite, at least 1 pt into fire resist, at least 1 pt into cold resist, at least 1 pt into thorns. rest of sk pts where ever u want. i recommend putting in fire resist, cold resist, or smite.

gear:

full sigons, gnasher, nagel rings, civerb amulet. with shopped 2 socket spiked shields in reserve, if u really need them. these 2 socketed spiked shields have flawed gems (clvl 5 req) in them (standard gems have too high a clvl req at 12). for example, a 2 flawed ruby socketed spiked shield, a 2 flawed saphire socketed spiked shield, etc.

how to use:

1. in general:

keep prayer active, walk, and smite away at them. using full sigons (including sigon shield).

2. against elem users:

u can have resist fire or resist cold auras active for more resists (sorry no lightning resist aura at clvl 9, unfortunately).

also, u can take off gnasher for elem resist weapon (like felloak for lightning resist, but than u lose gnahsers open wounds and crushing blow which helps greatly to kill them, and maybe u can't without it if still using sig shield anyways)

also, u can remove sig shield (but u lose its ~37 damage returned and 7 damage reduction and other bonuses) for 2 flawed gem resist spiked shields. spiked shields do more smite damage too.

3. for more smite damage:

remove sig shield (but u lose its ~37 damage returned and 7 damage reduction and other bonuses) and replace it with a 2 flawed skull socketed spiked shield.

this build can be taken to higher clvls for different and better gear and more skill pts and skills, and more stat pts and thus life, and thus a more powerful build. stat reqs of your character (how much str/dex u put pts into) would probably change for a higher clvl build.

Hmm, does this build really work without cleansing (tested?)? I think one would run out of mana fast.. even my lvl 14 healadin with cleansing is a heavy mana consumer.

this build works well, prayer works very well, long as u duel people who don't do a lot of damage and do it faster than your heal rate.

being that it works against clvl 30 people (though mostly noobs only), i'm sure it can pretty much win any lower clvl duel, baring the more powerful skills....

i guess i'd say it can win almost anything under clvl 18 (though chargers can be difficult). though this is a very loose statement, don't mistake it for anything else.

the prayer seems to work fine...though not sure compared to cleansing/meditation....

YES it does use mana...but meh...there's mana pots..and it's actually not that bad...it actually doesn't consume mana that bad...its pretty slow drain actually..and u only need to mana pot a few times... depending how long it takes u to kill them

and at clvl 9...no charge that eats up mana. so i only have to mana pot when prayer takes mana down to near zero (a work around to not life potting:P..hey i'm not life potting...but don't mind my mana pots to restore my mana for prayer which does give me life back...lol)

YES, I HAVE THIS GUY MADE AND AM USING HIM IN DUELS. HE PWNS !!!!

(though still working on getting all the quests, in nm and hell. only need nm izual, and all hell quests still) and he does very well, and that's not even taking into account he's only clvl 9.

What people will see is your life suddonly returning due to you taking a mana pot, rather then the constant flow that cleansing generates. So they will (imho rightfully)accuse you of potting.

I wonder how he would do against a level 9 double swinger with a complete act 3 flail, Gnasher, greyform, high ar nagels, isenharts helm, Bloodfists, gorefoot and I can't quite remember the belt, might have been rare with res and atd, who's also allowed to pot(life)

ooh, maybe I'll get my lld gear back off FireMarshall and duel you.

Alternatively, if you see him on tell him that if he doesn't need my gear anymore, just grab it off him and put it somewhere.

actually, i rarely have my life less than 100%, laughs. they can't do enough damage to even lower my life down.

meh, i am a LLD at clvl 9, so cleansing not an option anways. and i can rightfully defend myself, saying that "i'm only clvl 9, what are u complaining about, you're clvl 30"

i'd love to see how this (healer smiter) build and that (double swing) build would do against each ohter ! unfortunately west realm is completely barren of LLD as far as i can tell.

Well, HegemonKhan, you could always head over to Euro NL. I think I have most of the stuff for your build spare there. LLD with a smiter is not affected by ping anyway.

I think, if your build where to duel a level 12 cleansing build yours would lose even if you have a belt full of mana potions vs the cleansing pala not having any.

ya, i'd think so too... against a higher clvl, better and stronger version of myself...yes i should lose, lol, but meh how many people are there who of the build....on bnet...

well, i'm getting the build idea out there, as i win again and again against higher clvls with my clvl 9 !!!! *hehe* *grins*

I also want to see a clvl 9 Jabazon. I reckon they wouldn't go too bad. Maybe sacrifice, poison dagger, or any of those fairly unused skills. I've tested most of them before, but I really can't remember how well they did.

i'd love to have a bunch of different LLD builds made and see how well they do against each other and/or higher clvl builds.

i'll eventually do so my self even if i'm the only one. i'll take on this project myself if need be. this (LLD) is a new aspect of d2 that i have NEVER tried before. so i'm really excited and interested even if the rest of d2 players have already tried and done LLD, it's completely new for me and exhilerating and a enjoyable challenge trying to make LLD's which i have no experience with.
