I'm not entirely sure about giving him a Fortitude suit, because in my experience, it tends to shatter 2 corpses per run. But on the other hand, if my merc has to take care of most of the kills, the extra damage will outweigh the corpse losses. I'll have to experiment with that.

Nah, monsters stunned => merc doesn't get hit => chilling armor does not trigger => corpses don't shatter

I don't lose more than a corpse every 3 runs or so - probably even less than that.

PS: As far as I can tell, only physical damage hits trigger the chilling armor. Hydras don't.

Who knows when I'll get around to getting Igor set back up for GF and actually take the time for the runs, but if I sign up then I'm obligating myself to at least try - and since I recently emptied most of my ATMA bank on gambling...

2 runs completed. the first was the best. i managed 17 p8 NM trav runs both times. on the second attempt i had a run with only 1 pile of gold :P

i took the echoing sword off switch and replaced them with naj's puzzler.

still need to level him a bit but is slow going now. might give my merc a meaner weapon and forgo the insight thresher although i will miss the aura and he already kills pretty fast in NM.

ill be happy now to break the 6mill mark.

i decided to give goldfinger a run at hell council. i dont have a great map yet but i was able to kill them at players 3, albeit at a slower pace than in NM p8.

however on the second run i had 6 piles of gold over 100k and a new record pile of 115,826.

when i have had some sleep and have less alcohol in my blood ill try a 30 min run in hell.

I decided to try to get Igor's GF setup figured out before the Pindlethon so I can spend the ~50 stat points and 2 skillpoints he still has unused. By the looks of the table, it was a pretty generic first attempt, with plenty of room for improvement.

Edit: my runs were done in Hell, btw. /players1, Travincial council.


Edit2: 2nd run. I was curious if running in NM would make a positive difference, so I did it in NM this time (mixed settings, Trav. Council). Definite failure, but I got a Tal's amulet out of the bargain.

another 30 mins completed. slightly improved the haul but my merc died 3 times and i had to leave a PI council member 3 times as well. so room for more improvement. will level goldfinger to 90 before attempting more runs i think but that will be a tedious job... looks at the baal runners again

am tempted to put the .6666666666666666 recurring into the average column now

Well, might as well join this once I finish my pindlethon runs.

I do have a lvl 74 barb who has 8 unspent skill points and is at the start of act 2. He doesn't have any points in find item (uses dual Heart Carvers on switch) but that might change. I don't know how much good GF equipment I have but I'll give it a whirl anyway, it sounds really fun!
