I've been trying a lot the last couple days, banging my head into a wall repeatedly for hours on end, or something. I've completed maybe 10 attempts, ranging from low 20M to high 21M (including a death). I'm happy to report though that I finally have a super super good result to report, which I think is never getting beaten! I present...

But yeah, that's what I had when visiting GoMule with ~15:10 left on the clock on my latest attempt (which I know since I record my attempts). Pretttty good beginning. Then, of freaking course, I died to some stupid unnecessary crap. Rage rage rage. I kept playing though since I felt the beginning was so insane, and it kept going decently well for the most part. Consulting the video, I can see that with 85 seconds left (which is a perfect time to do two more runs with no time wasted), I had collected

Obviously on pace to break the record, even with that death, if the last two runs aren't complete garbage.

Adding myself to table, also I count runs only after upgraded equipment. Older version of my goldfinder had 2.3 million less gold average.

I'm done with this tournament for a long time, possibly forever unless I find significant equipment improvements. I'm not beating this run with my current equipment without huge amounts of luck. It wasn't perfect by any means, I had a few really bad runs and the mercenary died once and I was in danger of dying once or twice (wasting some time), but overall this was just very good. In fact, looking at the video, I see that with 15:10 left, I had collected 12.237.994 gold, barely beating the 15 minute run I said I'd never beat one post up, heh.

Super pleased. I'll get the full video up on youtube today hopefully.

I'm done for now. Hopefully I can improve his equipment and reach for a higher score at some later time, but this result is very very good with my current equipment, and very hard to beat. Here's my record run, 22.676.500:

The "easy" improvements, equipment wise, would be to find classic rare boots and belts with more GF. I'm hoping those who play pre 1.07 will keep looking for 119 GF rares for me

Other than that, the only big improvement would be to find a rare circlet with 5-6 perfect mods (barb skills/FCR/GF/2os/LL/ML/str/dex/life/AR/tele charges/etc). I'm doubtful one of these exist in the entire history of the SPF, but it's at least possible. If you have something you think might compare to the Crown of Thieves I'm using, please do send me a PM

As far as improving this result goes, it really does mostly come down to "get lucky". You can gain a few seconds here and there (not to mention the possibility of losing lots of time anywhere; this character isn't exactly built for safety), possibly adding up to enough time for one more run (in this 30 minute block, I do 40 runs), but if those 40ish runs aren't way above par when it comes to amount of gold piles and size of gold piles, you're not getting anywhere close to the record amount anyway.

Really liking the 1.06/1.07 crafts.

Btw are belt, boots (and possibly other items) with that high GF also available in 1.07 or is that only 1.06 material?

gongrats from new record. you really have nice equipments

eventhough i have better grief 34/400 :P sad that gamble screen doesn't have automaticly circlets. gamble away that amount of gold is going to take forever.
