I still lack a lot of potential GF. I have found about 120 more GF worth in charms though. I will need to run andy to get a gheeds and another dwarf, still no GF on helm or ammy yet either. I am well aware I am not going to have any serious shot at #1. If I can crack 7 mil though with a sorc I will consider it a personal success.

Oh I did 3 other runs over the last few days that I haven't posted yet.
*attempt 3- made 3,719,859. 30 runs over 29:57. I forgot to do Players 7 for the first 3 runs I did this attempt, and I also had to take a phone call that lasted for a few minutes, was considering not posting this attempt, but w/e my fails still count anyways I guess.
attempt 4- made 4,689,112 gold over 29 runs lasting 29:52.
Attempt 5- made 5,027,743 gold over 31 runs lasting 29:47.
Did some messing around with the equipment. I traded a pair of rare boots with 111% GF from scrcrw (pre-1.07) which I switched in for the 1.07 War Traveler. After playing for a while, I'm not sure it's worth it; FRW is really really good, especially so when you go Enigma-less. I also got some charms from jimsfriend, who has a lovely collection of GF charms. Currently I'm only 4% off from having a "perfect" GF charmset, and all the GC's (and some SC's) have pretty sweet damage/AR prefixes. Thanks man.
During my early playing for today, an Ohm dropped. It meant I had enough stuff to Deathbug and Grief a new 1.07 BA, and I got lucky with the roll (36/394), so that meant a bit of an upgrade to the old (380) axe it replaced.
Ok, that's out of the way. The big question for the day was Wealth vs Enigma. I've played a bit with a number of different setups today; first I did a run with the Wealth/Tele amulet from my last post (nice Amulet but no GF). The run felt pretty smooth and nice, but it was one of those ridiculous runs where nothing goes right. I had two consecutive runs where a total of 3 gold piles dropped (no shattered corpses). So, whatever, 15½ million still. I then switched to Enigma and a 2barb/10FCR/4ML/50GF/(16MF)/(4%manaregen) Amulet. I don't actually have any ML on my other setup, so this armor/amulet combo was really sweet in a number of ways; more skills, more FRW, huge Strength boost, an FCR breakpoint (very welcome indeed), oh and Teleport. When I started a run, it went pretty smoothly and stuff, gold piles were very noticably smaller though, end result 16.4 million. I liked it, but wasn't convinced. I then switched out the Amulet for Highlord's Wrath (unfortunately I couldn't get jimsfriend's 1.08 HLW which has FRW over IAS; it would be super helpful for this character). Again, it was pretty nice to be playing with Enigma since you run fast and teleport fast and bla bla, but the size of the gold piles are relatively depressing. As I recall the run was kinda bad anyway, end result 15.3 million, in any case. At this point I was kinda fed up with Enigma and wanted to go back to Wealth, especially now that I had new boots/axe/charms and stuff. So back to the Wealth/tele amulet and did a run, which went ok but not great. I died once (sigh), and the timing of the runs worked out such that I just reached the council and started whacking them when time ran out, so that was kinda stupid. Still, it seemed very obvious to me that Wealth is indeed sick for GF runs (who knew?), since the gold piles were lovely and huge. 17.3 million despite all the crap that happened.
Highest priority going forward is finding a teleport/GF amulet. I can still add a potential 80GF from the amulet slot, and GF is (surprise surprise) huge for effeciency. After that, it would be nice to find a classic rare belt (up to 119 GF) instead of the rather mediocre 80% rare I'm using. And also, FRW on the boots would be sweet, 1.07 War Traveler or 1.06 rare. Other than that, equipment is pretty good probably, I could always use better charms (especially SCs) though too.
Still plenty of improvement possible with a more perfect/smooth run, for sure. At least I think my playing has improved somewhat since yesterday, which is nice.

I'll get back to this after reaching level 95, so that I can spend the gold there ( one fourth of the way there, man this is taking ages ).
That's a lot more than I would have thought you'd get (I figured "about 400k" in "about a minute at most" would turn out to be gross overestimates since it seems quite high for the equipment you have), so nice job and color me surprised.
And noob, not as far as I know. Not something we need to worry about, in any case, I think.

I have a couple of 37% GC's, and a couple of 9% SC's you can have if you like.
I plan on trying this out one day, both the GF barb (way, way in the future, too many builds as it is atm) and a LK GF'er but atm, am more interested in LK runs for runes.
I might also have a spare Gheeds I could lend you, I would have to check that out tho, as I have 4 MF'ers atm, and another on the way.
I also have a 81% Crown of Theives and a Dwarf Star from a giveaway that you can have if you like. They were given away by Bassen a couple of weeks ago, so I'm following the spirit of his Giveaway as I have Self Found of both for my Grail
I understand if you'd prefer to Self Find the gear tho, just let me know, and we'll organise a trade thread.

Well done, both to Fabian and Zaphod! Focusing on just the gold piles and leaving everything else on the ground takes a great deal of restraint indeed.
I hadn't realized about the high GF prefixes on 1.06-ish gear. I do have some old Classic mules somewhere but they are mostly holding the no-level-requirement uniques and I probably sold back to Charsi some useful gear for GF-ing, but that was quite some time ago!
I did a run this morning but I accidentally went over 30 minutes. I can guarantee that I didn't make any gold in the time I went over but I am not sure ho strict the rules are so I am mentioning it anyways. I am using silospen's save counter, and I am sure the extra time could easily be said to include me save and exiting and then alt tabbing, during which no actual gold was accumulated but I will let someone else make the call.
My merc died at about 20 minutes in and I tried to finish it out without him, which was a horrible idea, without meditation means my mana get depleted way to fast when getting hit. So if there is a 15+gold pile chest and a few monsters near by I cannot grab them all. I had to abort runs 4 times after merc died because my shield got broke. 1 was just a bad luck teleport into a pack of mana burns but the other 3 times I would have easily been able to stay had merc been around.
attempt 6 I did 36 runs (mainly because I had to abort so many times) lasted 30:04
My gold accumulate is 4,348,592.
I think I was going to PM you, but not sure if I actually remembered to, as I went to make a trade profile. If you want I could make you a rune offer or something for all of that. I find Mal runes left and right in LK. I can easily cube up to a vex with the Mals I have. As far as I am concerned if they are received via a fair trade they are as good as self found. Edit: Put together a stash for you One Noob, but then had a look at your trade profile, and I didn't realise you were HC, while I play SC.
And as per the trade rules, SC to HC is not allowed.
Sorry about that, for some reason I thought you were SC. I am hopeless at HC, my playstyle is not geared towards it.
