well, the scoobs'ters value guide states that:
"0/4os Archon Plate(480+Def)/Dusk Shroud(450+Def) - Pul - Um"
I think the max defence on an Archon can be 524, so your 500 isn't too bad ...
That said, how about a Lem, a Ko, and a Hel Rune?
