Are all your summons ready to attack right away when you reach your destination? or do they have to stap out first?
If they are able to then i can only imagine having 10+ skeletons, a few mages, a golem and a truckload of revives switching at the same time, if you ampt it, tele to it then it should pretty much be a one-hit very time shouldnt it?
Im just thinking about what to do with my leftover points on my skelemancer... not really a fan of mages but if ill be teleporting all the time i may aswell max them along with revive.
Its either that or max CE which is an old friend of mine... i just love that everything on the screen dies with a maxed CE, even around corners
I telport just on target and run away leaving "pack of minions" fighting on place where I left them.
I have 14 skelies, 13 mages and hell Baal takes over 1 minutes (amp damage course works 55 second and I must recast it). Revieve udars let me kill baal within 15-20 seconds but I usually use 3rd and 4th Baal miinion weave (balrogs and Tranvical creatures).
Corps explosion very important skill but you needn't max it. I have 11 yard radius and find it enough - whole screen.
Mages cannot be compared to skelies but they are usefull - max it. Average elemental dmg is 250 * 13 = about 3K per shot. (I have skele mastery 36 and summon mages 35)
Even after maxing mages you have spare skill points. You will not be able to find more then 10 good revieves (I have 15 with equip), I do not find any reason to give more then 1 pt to revieve. I did not do Tristram with my minions but I've tried to get organs and was quite easy.
I think spare points should be invested in bone wall as an armor synergy (works better then pts added to armor). Armor has few hundreds hit points - it lets me survive attacks of Nihla snakes or small stygian skeletons, most often appear in Mephisto dungeon and explode when killed. They are most annoying monsters.
Telebombing is awesome... it's like a hammerdin except you don't have to switch skills.
I teleport on a monster, amp, then CE and the screen empties. It's this reason I really think a summoner is one of the fastest MF'ers in a 1 player game (outside of summoning his army %#$#$)
yeah i usually go both up and down from frigid to assemble my army...and i've gotten a few nice things there...at least 2 high runes and deaths web (im not sure if i actually nabbed it there...but it was during my run) as well!
and plenty of soc items....so its worth it =)
They do attack even if they are stacked. Try using a TP on Baal and see that happen. It's sweet.
Its awesome... Infact I don't know who used the term, but i saw it and I feel its very fitting for what happens... "Tele-Stomp". Its nearly a 1-Hit K.O. on any normal monster, 3-5 Hits on uniques that aren't physical immune/Stone skin, and makes boss killing a bit more effective as sometimes in smaller hallways or close quarters not all monsters can fit "around" the boss, but when "stacked" they are all attacking. It looks really cool when you see all like 14 regular skeleton swords swinging in Unison.
Yeah, it's quick - but still takes a bit of time :(
But a summoner is major fun, I really want to make one now that I think about it.
