    Recemmended Trapsin build?

    I've looked around for a untwinked lighting build and there seems to be some dispute. This is going to be hardcore, untwinked. Can anyone help? PvM of course.

    The traps work even when untwinked, but you need a little extra.

    Dragon Talon with plenty of life leach, faster hit recovery, and some crushing blow is a good option for filling in the gaps.

    The point here is that (a) sometimes you need to do damage other than Lightning and (b) sometimes you need the enemy to stand still (ex: bosses) so that the traps can do their thing.

    Dragon Talon is perfect for this sort of thing and can even make for a great build in combo with an unsynergized death sentry.

    At level 65 or so you can have 20 in lightning sentry, 20 in death sentry, 18 in dragon talon (4 kicks), 6 in fade, and 1 in mind blast. From here you would probably want to pump your trap synergies.

    With a 4 kick talon, act bosses are a joke for any assassin with life leach and faster hit recovery (even with low defense and low resists)

    The dangerous places have fast mobs because the trap assassin doesnt exactly have great skills vs mobs until he has a few corpses to pop.

    20 LS, 20 DS, 20 FB, 1 point in necessary Shadow skills, rest in LS synergies.

    Fade is not a Shadow skill? And even then it shouldn't be that hard.

    What is so difficult about a trapper that it would be impossible to play one without fade? That's like saying that druids, sorcs or amazons cannot do HC at all.

    Many areas of hell are loaded with lightning immunes and fireblast just isnt going to cut it against them until you are in your 90's (post-completion of the game, really) or until your merc has godly gear (already farming hell bosses.)

    Fade = survive.

    The only way to make fireblast work in your 70's is to be dual claw in order to get lots of +traps. This gives up resists, so fade is still mandatory.

    You have never used FB, or you don't know how to use it. It works more than fine against LIs, even without excessive amounts of +skills.

    A shadow and a merc are good enough tanks for fb to kill, don't forget mindblast/ph also...
