I am working, currently sizing a control valve. It looks like it will be a 2" reduced port globe valve.

We do and we don't. Pipes (and valves) come in nominal sizes which are imperial (1",2",4",6",8" etc.) Conveninetly 1" ~ 25 mm so ends up fairly good for both systems. Pipe flanges are also built to ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineering) standards and thus we talk about class 150 (equivalent to 150 pound) flanges.

That said whenever I do calculations I always work in SI units, it is much more convenient (less strange conversion factors).

Most people don't say that ASME makes things easier, most people hate our silly measurements!

Oh your measurements are silly, it is just fortunate that 1" = 25mm thereferor every 2" = 50mm which is a round number.

I can work in imperial, but SI is a hell of a lot easier (especially in complex equations) mainly because everything is a multiple of 10.

well, you're into Diablo-esque games, right? Diablo seems very... action, role-playing kind while fighting creatures of hell. you should find more games like that!

idk if you're looking for similar gameplay feel or just appearance and feel. >.>

Yea, ok, I see what you mean.

I do like the action rpg type games a lot. I like games that I can improve myself by getting higher levels and finding better equipment. I also enjoy 2D side scrolling action types like Zelda 2 (duh) and cave story(any fans out there?) Never really found a game to pique my interest quite like diablo2. Right now I'm holding out hope that D3 will take the place of D2, I've waited this long, I think I can wait another (maybe) 6 months.

I played baulder's gate back in the day, never could really get into it. I think it has a little bit to much micro management and not enough face-smashy

Neverwinter nights looks interesting, but its really hard for me to get into games with that perspective (like WoW) although it looks a little bit more overhead than WoW TBH. IDK, I'm so picky about games, especially ones I have to buy, It has to look perfectly awesome for me to buy it, and that is why I don't buy many new games.
