We had a Community version a long time ago.... some people did not like the awards they were voted for and won, the thread turned into a flame war and there were bannings over it.

That sucks.

Never seen anybody act like that in the spf awards, but 99% of them are positive awards without a doubt.

We had awards many years in ETF (no idea if they do them anymore), and they were always positive ones. I don't think they were ever arranged by mods but the persons arranging them did consult mods on if they were appropriate and discussed on possible categories.

I'd suspect that is similar to the spf, I know it isn't hosted by mods for sure.
