is it weird that i didn't have bday parties growing up? like, i had a few, but once i hit about 13 and onward, i didn't have friends over or have sleepovers? the last and only sleepover i had for a birthday party was when i turned 9 and my mother hated it. XD she said it was going to be the last one i ever had and that was the truth. it wasn't until about 5 years later that another girl spent the night and she was never allowed back (weird and long story!) and then another four years until my Besties came over. that was the first and only time too. not because my mother banned them from the house, but i lived far out there and my house was a bit small.
That is kinda sad, yea. I don't know what made it so awful that she never wanted to do it again, but it seems a bit harsh. You do a lot of things for your kids that you reallt don't want to do or enjoy. That's just part of being a parent.
