Changing from zaka to sacred rondache

Hi,

I have a hammerdin that was built around having 75% block with a HoZ, but I've recently aquired a spirit sacred rondache. This lowers my chance to block to 60%. I'm lvl 93 so just lvling up and putting the rest of the points into dex isn't a option. Should I remake for a sake of 15% or will I not notice that much?

Do you play PvM or PvP? If your aim is PvM as a hammerdin I would say that you will not see a lot of difference between 60% and 75% as most monsters will be dead before they get to you, or if they don't die that easy you'll be moving and casting hammers avoiding them.

Perhaps you could list your equipment and we'll see if something can be swapped to get dex.

Yeah, you could switch jewelry, like one ravenfrost and one FCR/Dex ring or dual stat ring.

I was in somewhat the same situation that you're in now, where I found that my 92 Hammerdin just needed to be remade in order to hit that 125% FCR breakpoint. Now it's done, and my new 93 Hammerdin is squashing pretty much everything with no need for anything but a Redemption tick now and then.

If you decide to go through with the remake, do get a Sacred Targe for the extra 2% base block, as ditching a level 92 character and not making the next one perfect is, in my world, a fly in the ointment.

But before you consider anything, perhaps tell us what the point is with Spirit over HOZ? Trying to reach that breakpoint? Or need more resists perhaps? Knowing this would help in giving advice.

Anyway, I forgot to mention that you should use Waterwalks as your boots if you're not already, which add 15 dex.

yea i dont see the point in switching to a spirit this late into your hdin's build unless you've decided going for 125 fcr. 75 block isnt needed for pvm but for pvp is pretty crucial so it depends on what you plan on doing on your pally.

the same thing happened to me, if you're a pvm hammerdin it doesn't matter most of the time enemies don't get close to you. I went from hoz to a spirit vortex shield, from 75% to 66% and i jsut hit lvl92. stick with what you got

You could always use charms, gems and j00ls to get your block up. Equip 1-2 Ravenfrosts with high dex or switch from Sandstorm to Waterwalks is also an option to get max block. Hard to say without knowing your gear.
