I've just started up D2 again after a 5-6 year break. I'm going for a Fury/Rabies pvp Wolf, and have read through this http://www.geocities.com/boudewijn_broers_mfc/ guide.
I'm currently in the beginning of Act II, Nightmare, and getting my *** kicked in the sewers. It's really hard, my gear suck and the old trading channel is all but dead. What to do? I really would like to solo nightmare before joining the runs.
I'm level 46
Stats:
Strenght 75
Dex 41 (missing a lot)
Vit 130
Ene 20 (I find I need a mana leech weapon to avoid potions)
I have 44 stat points in reserve, I keep them back since I'm paranoid about putting unnecessary points somewhere, where future gear will help me out.
Skills:
Fury 10
Rabies 20
Lycanthropy 9
Poison Creeper 7
have 1 skill point in reserve
Items are Sigons Shield and a crap onehander club I found in normal Act 2. A rare Maul on switch, 55-80 dmg + a little cold. Embarassing.
Rings are Cathan's Seal for 6% life leech, and Nagelring for the MF.
Boots and gloves are magical MF boosters, belt is some magical faster hit recovery and armour is Iceblink.
Fire res -11%
Cold res 26%
Lightning res 0
Poison res -17%
I never been able to trade anything with anyone, since the euro trading channel is all but dead. And to be honest, no one want what I got.
I've managed to scrape together 11 perfect gems though, but I don't know what I can get for them or what to aim for first. I'm guessing a good magic weapon would help me the most, would love a decent Ribcracker or Baranar's Star.
Should I spend my stat points now? On what?
Thanks in advance for any help!
Get yourself a Ribby and play like a Fury Druid for PvM. It goes for Pgems, as does Baranar.
A good cheap res armor is Smoke, takes a Lum at the highest that also goes for pgems.
Thanks, any idea as to the approximate number of Pgems for a Ribcracker, a Baranar and a Lum, respectively?
