    Re: Gauss members

I would like to join your channel and thus I accept all of your rules. I usually play like that anyway, I enjoy the game alot more when the spirit is high.

The account I would use is *vonCarstein. Ignore the dot.

I am humble and do what I can to avoid confrontations (with other players, that is..). I always try to play to other peoples wishes in order to "keep everyone happy". I usually play as a summoner necromancer since I enjoy shuffling my undead horde about. It's also a bit easier on the gear than other characters, heheh.

I have no one to vouch for me sadly, the reason for it being that I've only just gotten back into D2. Actually, I came back last Friday, heh. But I like to think of myself as competent and caring. If you think I'm doing anything wrong in-game, please let me know and I'll consider it.

I hope that you'll let me join your group of players, it's so much more fun when you have a cadre of guys to play with as opposed to a single other person that you can trust.

    Re: Gauss members

Since I've been hanging around at gauss for a couple of days now I thought I'd write something small to introduce myself.

    Name: Carl

I decided to take up D2 when D3 was announced and I'm glad that I found out about gauss. I find D2 is at its best in HC with a large group of ppl of similar level fighting together to keep each other alive.
One of the best games I had last time I was playing (6 years ago) was with a group like this doing act 5 in mn. After 4+ hours or so of playing turns out we have had a 'embedded' pk sorc in the gourp and my pala gets tppk while fighting the ancients.
I stopped playing shortly after that, in part because I lost my highest lvl char, in part because D2 was taking up too much time from school.
At the moment I'm trying to get my mf hammerdin Ridderhan up to power for at least nm meph and baal runs. At the moment he's enjoying Act1 nm.

Post is getting longer than intended so I'm stopping here.
    See you guys in channel

    regards

I've been playing computer games for a long long time, i even have fond memories of games like Colossal Cave, ZORK I-III and Wizardry from the beginning of computer games. I have played diablo 1 and 2 since the beginnings, with breaks during which it tried out other games (even WoW, what a boring job that is) and finally came back playing to D2HC last fall. After some bad experience with TPPKs i played mostly solo, which got me bored so that i considered giving up D2 for good. In this forum i read about the banana channel on east, and i thought hey, that would be nice to have here in europe. After the positive response on my post from Ankeli and Krazeyivan, with some pointers from the banana crew i set up the bot, which now has been running for 102 days.

Thanks to all you people that make op gauss such a nice and safe place!

Oh ok, if we're all going to do it. . .

I've played diablo since the old skool "no walking, butcher fearing" first game, though i only started playing online when LoD was released. Before that i grew up on Dungeon Creeping games like Bloodwych, Eye of the Beholder etc.
When i first got D2, my ex-girlfriend told me i was wasting my money. She sat and watched me play for a while, until i reached the arcane sanctuary. She asked if she could have a go, and henceforth, i couldnt get her off the damn thing!!

Used to play softcore, but that gets boring real quick, so i took my friends advice and took up hardcore. Havent looked back since.

I'm always willing to help if i can, normally that involves norm rushes, since i've not really got far enough to rush anywhere else ^^ I still havent managed to get a player to Hell yet. . .

If youre looking for any items, ask me, i tend to horde alot of junk. Muling, same, just ask.

Thanks to floyd for setting up and maintaining the channel. And like Floyd, thanks to all you guys for making HC even more fun

    Ciao

Dungeon Master! I still remember my first steps into the entrance tunnel, the fear of starving, the pink worms and winged serpents that kicked my a** so bad ... Gotta dig out those Floppy disks and see if it still runs
