That is good.

The lim h->0 a^h-1/h = ln(a) is the hard bit to prove and requires a lot of knowledge in the theory of calculus.

Passing my required mathematics and quantum mechanics courses made me really happy. I am not gifted when it comes to equations and I'd prefer to keep the stuff relatively simple.

Sorry, but as I did Higher Level Mathematics in HS we learnt the theory behind calculus kind of early. I also always found that particular branch of mathematics kind of interesting.
