Is STALKER any good? I kind of tracked that game for a while and then lost interest. Never did play it.
Also I heard that Deus Ex 3 is in development. Anybody know any juicy details on that? Will it be Deus Ex style, or DX: Invisible War style?

I played Stalker a bit, though i must say, that my expectations form the screenshots i saw was not satisfied. The mechanics in the game and the playstyle and feel are very nice, also the reactions of the AI were alot different everytime i reloaded to try a different approach. I did not progress any further past the first bigger skirmish with a couple of AI based on a small farm though, due to not having time to play
That said, its hard nowadays to get your hand on quality games that you will actually want to buy!

Considering that I do not really have any expectations, would you recommend that I try it? I know that you can't know if I'll like it, but I want to know if the game is polished enough to be enjoyable and if the game mechanics are decent enough without getting overly annoying. Basically if the game is decently playable or broken beyond repair. Considering the state of gaming these days I'm happy if I don't have to add about 3 gigs of mods to make games enjoyable.

That is certainly, um, interesting, though I don't see that meshing well with the witch doctor's jungle hoboness.
But just imagine it in the jungle. And instead of a ring you have a cardboard box. And they fight over hooch instead of just a big belt and some cash.
