I'm having a hard time believing that they can deliver that. So far I'm on the fence. The gameplay trailer looks decent, but the interviews have not given me much hope. So I will remain on my fence until the game comes out and the first fan reviews (written by people with more than 10 hours of play time) appear.
Witch Doctor = top half of a Flayer Shaman = cracked-out, grass-wearing, jungle hobo = bobbing clown who vomits leaves a.k.a. Bobo the clowning village idiot. And people thought Necromancers had an image problem.
True, but as far as I know both aren't in Fallout 3. Unless Todd Howard decides they need to be. Just like the Teddy Gun.

Well I figuered that there's absolutely no way I can know how the game will be before I actually try it, so I simply choose to be positive about it, because it makes me feel better.
The gameplay trailer was actually quite uninteresting for me, but I guess they couldn't start showing the rpg factors of the game in there, because it would make a less striking trailer than the boom bang squash destroy splatter version.
The higher the expectations, the bigger the disappointment.
That is as good a position as any. I'm thinking that as long as I stay a bit apprehensive I can't be too disappointed if it tanks completely.
I thought the exact same thing when I saw the trailer. I do really wish he'd taken the three minutes it would have taken him to actually talk to someone and show some of the dialog. Just one unimportant dialog with an unimportant person. Just to get a feel for the quality of the writing. Hell, even some screenshots with this would be preferable to what is available now.

I didn't know it was coming. If it still has a turn-based combat system I'm very interested.
I have my fears about it becoming "oblivion with guns", especially as I wasn't a big fan of Oblivion, liked Morrowind much better. Fallout 2 is among my favorite RPG games, and I'd hate to see Fallout 3 if it didn't have the humor and gore of the old games.
Nope. Straight up real-time FPP or TPP with a pause system straight out of KotOR.
At first the Devs really tried to avoid that term saying that is wasn't like that. Nowadays they use it to fuel the hype machine. It has been called Oblivion 2 on more than one occasion.
Still that doesn't bother me as long as the writing is good and the quests are interesting. But we don't get information on that. It is something that really worries me.
Also the quest compass from Oblivion is back. I hated that thing with passion. You couldn't disable it since the quests weren't written to give you enough info without the bloody thing.
