PSP downgrade Question

Hey, because I have 3.95 and 4.00 is now out, is it possible to switch to custom firmware by switching the update with a downgrade that's labled 4.00update by re-naming it? Then just download the custom firmware?

I'm just itching to play Diablo1 on my PsP.

Well, if you consider the fact that the pm just gave me a link to a forum for this kinda thing... It wouldn't matter for this thread is probally dead now. ^^
