Is there a thread anywhere that tells you which gear you should get for the different spell casters, like what gear absorbs Light Best, which gear absorbs cold, fire, poison, etc..... Thank you!!!

Wizzy gives massive res. use it to stack res vs any ele dmg character.

Don't forget that sorb is usefull only when you have 75 all resists+, if not, it does nothing or almost. (that's why wizzu is nice for this).
