Act 5 Waypoint Bug!

Wow, I've NEVER seen this before.

I usually MF by following those annoying Baal Bots into games, but instead racing to do a sweep of some Act 5 Level 85 areas (and Eld/Shenk) before they're done.

Frigid --> Icy Cellar --> Drifter Cavern, three places I can teleport and run around to. I just did a run, where I took the Glacial Trail waypoint... and came directly into the little cave where you click to go in the Icy Cellar :shocked:

I've never seen this, and I explored the rest of the Glacial Trail and there was NO waypoint. Has this happened to anyone else?

very rare but does happen, some map seeds are missing wps, entrances, exits or quest areas

That's a completely separate issue and much more common. There are often random tiles you can teleport to inside most walled dungeons, the river of flame, and I believe other locations. I've personally done it in The Tower and The Maggot Lair.
