The fishymancer build has piqued my interest for quite some time. Good summoner gear can get really expensive (enigma, beast, infinity) and it costs even more than a good pvm hammerdin setup. I have no doubt that it would be really fun playing such a necro with all those auras but are they really that powerful compared to the cookie cutter builds today? Can a fully-geared fishymancer rush in hell just as easily and quick as say, a hammerdin or a light sorc?
Or maybe not as quick but only a bit slower:rolleyes:
The only place a hammerdin might be faster is in an 8 player game, or in Chaos sanctuary. My fishy is faster than my hammerdin in low player games.
My summoner is just as fast as my lightning sorc until about 4 people in game. Even then the difference isn't huge. As for hell rushes, as long as I'm not doing a large group of people I'd rather do it on necro since every once in awhile ancients will spawn physical/unbreakable lightning immune. As long as you hit the same breakpoints for teleport as you do on your hammerdin/sorc you probably won't notice a speed difference. Corpse tele onto monsters with blob of minions and spam CE clears rooms as fast as chain lightning.
fishymancers are better because they can go thru without being hit or really having to run away the only time you might run away is when you telestomp one creature
