Where to go with this BvC of mine?

Hi fellow barbarians! :cool:

I have reached 93 lvl with my BvC.
I have invested some strength so I can wear fortitude and coa.
I have:
- 66 base strength
- base dexterity
- all other points went to vitality.

I have 5 dex points not yet spent.
I need your advice on how to further improve this barb.

I was thinking about assigning some points to dexterity, with some dex charms to use hel'ed widowmaker and angelic combo.
Or should I assign those points to vitality and use 2xraven frosts with 20 dex and hsarus boots and belt?

What about skill points?

I have only 1 point in increased speed, 15 points into jump, should increase those two?

Or should I scrap this char completely and start all over again? :sad2:

Id say it depends how many stat points your planning on investing in dex to reach the required amount for Widow. widow will help alot vs hdins, but not sure if its worth the sacrafice in life.

Angelics combo gives gg ar, but i wouldn't use it as a main setup, just keep it in your stash for dueling high defense pallys/barbs

You should really be basing your setup on atleast 1 raven because of the cannot freeze.

Increase speed and leap are both great skills. If you find u dont need much running speed def go for leap. I wish i placed more on my barb.

It might also help if you listed ur ar, life etc. this way ppl can judge better on what you need more.

Here are some of my stats in detail:

life - around 6200-6400;
AR - more then 8k without angelics and demon limb prebuff and around 24k with them.

I intend to put around 20-30 points into dexterity.

My cast speed and fhr are on recommended levels.

I dont have any damage reduction, I dont have the crown of ages, how much is a good one with 2 sockets?

I have difficulties with paladins of all types, assasins and amazons (bowazons).

I'm not very experienced pvp'er so my issues may be caused by the lack of experience in this.

I also think that I need better charms.

My usual equipment is:

- arreat face with shell for fhr;
- archon plate enigma;
- highlords, raven frost, and rare ring with + mana, light res and some AR (+25) OR angelic combo;
- trang's gloves for fcr and cold res;
- grief + beast - grief hits the last ww bp but dmg is low (+340);
- i have 2 bo weapons on weapon switch;
- sometimes I use metalgrid for fire res, and poison res because i lack in those areas;
- as mentioned before I have also demon limb for AR prebuff;
- gore rider boots;
- arachnid mesh belt;
- I sometimes use the drac's gloves, and I have hel'ed widowmaker which I can use after I put two raven frosts.

Is it better to wear trang's or drac's for damage?

If you notice the grief has a high lvl venom cast on strike, so trang's will increase the poison damage from venom.

I don't see how you can reach the 37% FCR BP without Trangs gloves...

I tend to use dracs alot more than trangs. I don't hit the fcr, but i find it doesn't make much difference and the open wounds helps alot. I have both in stash tho for when needed.

coa on ladder goes for about 10hr for an avg one. no idea about non ladder. Ive always used coa, but think I might get arreats a go.

You shouldn't really be having a problem with assasins or bow zons though. for bowzons just use leap to knock them back or tele ww when they run. Don't run in a straight line so the arrows hit you, just round in a circle and outrun the arrows, when in range ww them.

Just out of interest are u talking about gm duels or public where anything goes?, if its public, throw on a wisp and ull be immune to the sin.

Paladins are always a tough one. stil got no idea how to beat a good hdin. Ive tried dueling smiters with both my bvb and my bvc. my bvb has 30kdefense 24k ar 4.5k life and bvc 15k ar 8.5k life. My bvb gets ripped to pieces, but my bvc can beat most smiters. So if your havin trouble against these, i think it may be coz of ur life.

I think to duel pure casters, like necro, sorc, hammerdin, etc, arreat is in all aspect better than COA, coz you don't need the DR, but arreat gives you a lot more, but of coz, vs. smiters is a different story..

Yeah true. Ive always just used coa coz i there pretty simaliar stats apart from coa has the dmg reduce. and dont see point of swapping it for such minimal stats

The only reason u shud add more dex, would be to use widowmaker. sure it helps vs hdins, but i dont think its worth the sacrafice in life. Altho alot of others will prob disagree
