Thats true, didnt think about that. Ill make sure to have that editted in there, which i should be getting everything ready by tomorrow.
Nice guide. This will be my first LLDer when I can finally get one together/rushed/leveled/etc. I've put together a decent (I hope) collection of gear. I just need to start putting it to use! heh
pSkulls ftw!
man, i had to look all over for this. search isnt working for crap!
maybe this should be in the sticky. it'll never get more complete...
All in all a solid guide, a few things to add. NEVER put an eld in your shield, IDK why people think this is good. It reduces dex on a visceratuant for max block from 90 to 83, which translates to 14 life. A P ruby will give you 38 life, or a shael will bump you up to a 1 frame faster block which you can't gain any other way (can help against melee). Even a flawed ruby will result in more life than an eld rune, and not only does it cost life, but the extra dex gives more defense, so you're losing 24 life on top of defense by using an eld. Getting + teleport on your insight switch will save you 2 skill points, and with 35% fcr if you are fast enough with hotkeys (w is your friend) you can always replenish mana as you teleport, and gain 2 skill points without losing a fcr BP by getting + tele on your switch (something to keep in mind).
You also always want a shael in either your helm or armor as it saves 20 FHR which is a suffix on a charm, which takes 4 sc's to achieve, which could instead be worth 60 life, so it's more beneficial to shael for FHR than socket for life (or pskulls for that matter). You will need an additional 11 FHR to hit the 86 BP, which is 3 charm spaces regardless how you split it up, and the best affix for this is + mana, so ideally you want 1 GC with mana and FHR if you can afford it as this will be more benificial than 3 SC's or 1 LC and 1 SC with mana and FHR. Just a few things to think about when socketing and "charming".
Eld isn't the best in a visceratuant, I agree; a 9 dex jewel is better than eld. There can be good reason to put a +dex jewel (even without other mods to make it tastier) in a shield instead of a pruby. A dex jewel can optimize your life for a non maxblock setup if you wanted to make that a priority.
Having to switch weapons to teleport would've gotten me killed many a time. The fastest windy I've run across using one of his 20 fcr telesticks is still painfully slow to watch. Switch weapons, tele, switch weapons, attack, repeat. Too much.
ruby adds fire res in shields, not life. you dont need a shael because any melee build is a walk for a caster build. defense is negligible for 7 dex.
using tele on insight switch is asking to get charged to death. if you want tele on switch, make it an orb so you can at least keep block.
Forgot about the fire res thing, either way, 14 life isn't worth a socket, stick a plain 9 dex jewel in there even without adds is better. The thing about tele on switch is that many casters keep an insight on switch either way and since many people consider tele to be BM against melee anyways tele on insight switch is more for caster vs caster.
meh, put the point in tele, then if you find someone (mellee) that thinks it's BM, dont tele. you'll still roll them.
