Some might debate that items that give + to max resistances are absorb, and I'm one of them. Max resistance is not absorb either, nor stacked. How can you say that highlords is absorb? It's only giving +35% resistance to lightning. if so don't forget maras kaleidoscope as it's giving 20-30% res all, and all other +res items. No matter what, stacking is not absorb. (thanks to the Anya bug it's literary essential to stack)

Edit: add blackhorn's face to that list (20 light absorb)

Ah I did not know about that one, that will be useful indeed!

I have to agree with you about the stacking vs absorb. I am after items specifically have 'absorb' on them somewhere but thanks for the input all the same guys, its useful! Im working on something and have all the items on my initial list, but am looking for more. Lightsabre is another I forgot to add to it.

Did I hear somewhere that thawing potions stack?

in gm duelling, +max res and %sorb gear are both considered as "sorb" gear.

the generally accepted rule is: One piece of +max res OR sorb gear per element.
so a t-gods OR a wisp. spurs OR a dwarf, a snowclash OR a ravenfrost. using both spurs and a dwarfstar will totally screw 99.9% of fire based attackers. ditto with using both a tgods and a wisp for lit based attackers.

fyi: +max res =/= "stack". "stacked" resistances is piling on extra res to negate resistance shattering skills like Conviction, Lower Resist or Cold mastery (or itamz like facets, griffons etc).

Re: What are all the absorb gear avaliable?

On most of my caster duell chars i have 3* 20fcr/3socket circlets with 3*ohm 3*vex* 3*vex

    That helps alot!
On my druid i dont have to take of my boots with stats/fhr/res. Instead of using hotspurs.
same goes for not having to use TG/whisps against light.

Spirit Ward and Steel Shade have absorb as well. They`re quite rare though, and the absorb levels are relatively low although Steel Shade is the only helm with fire absorb as far as I know.
