getting mana leech

ok, a newbie question ,but i havent played in like 4 years. Naturally all my chars are gone, not that i can even remember what the account was.

i just got a barb to 30, and now realize what a pain ww is without any real mana leech. I cannot for the life of me find any socketed mauls, or heavy mauls for skulls. I did manage to find a 4% mana leech with some ar heavy maul, but this is crappy damage for such a slow weapon without any +damage.

i dont really have anything for trading, besides maybe 200k gold. so what would be the best route to score some mana leech? i really dont want to burn my socket quest for a low lvl weapon.

every other barb i made found some kind of mana leech ring or ammy by act4. dunno what the deal is now

A lvl 30 Barb should not rely on WW for real damage... At this level, you'd better use some lower level skills, such as Concentrate to kill. WW, at lower level, does poor damage (-50% of weapon damage at the beginning), and it costs tremendous mana. Even if you have a few points of mana leech, since you will be doing very low damage (-50%), you won't be able to leech enough.

ok, so for some reason a low lvl pally traded me a rare dual leech, with ar and resists for 15 chipped gems and 50k gold. i am not sure on the whole dupe check thing. if i can join and leave games, and still have ring, does that mean its perm?

i pretty much gave him everything i had to trade after i saw it didnt delete after leaving game, but still felt a little bad because he didnt realize what he had. some one gave him alot of really decent melee pally items.

AMULET - Angelic Halo

RING 1 - Angelic Ring(this'll give you all the AP you need)

RING 2 - Manald Heal (7% mana leech, 20% faster mana regen)


All three of those items are dirt cheap, you should be able to get them for a few pgems.

1. Noone dupes rare rings. High runes (vex+) and sojs are the only things you should be concerned about.

2. Dual leech rings are extremely common, spend a few minutes gambling and you're bound to pick up a few.

3. It can take a long time for something to disappear if it is a dupe.
