Ok so a few days ago I started a Poison Necromancer. I wanted it to be mainly for pvp and when I play with some of my friends.
This is just an overview, but my main question is Homunculus or Darkforce?
It is level 82 right now and has
20 poison nova
1 into all summons,
1 into all curses except confuse attract and dim vision.
1 into all bone moves
I'm using nova and lower resist mainly and fire golem.
Shako with 5/5 poison die facet
2x soj's are 1 soj 1 raven if i need the CBF
+2 49% dweb with 5/5 die facet psn
50% ed PSn dmg Bramble Dusj Shroud
9x Pnb Gc's
However when it comes to shields i'm stuck on what to use. I have a Homunculus with a 5/5 die facet and a Darkforce +3 Pnb +2 +2 with a 5/5 die facet. The darkforce gives me FCR which i really need for pvp but I don't get the max resistances as I do with homunculus. Also I don't get max block. My dex is a little under 200 and I can easily get max block with homunc but only about 35% with darkforce. I like darkforce more but can't decide which shield to stick with. Thanks! I play east non ladder.
I don't want to use Spirit btw, I can't afford pumping all that strength for it.
A question, is a poison necro good in hell? It's not that many poison immunes in hell is it?
Trang oul's set, that's best for poisonmancers right?
Everyone else seems to think summoner is the way to go though...
poison/summon hybrid is hell viable. It isn't as fast as my pure summoner though. My poison/summon uses trang shield (3rd piece of trang's for -25 enemy poison resist) -poison resist will do more for your killing speed than the bonus skills from Homo or darkforce.
If your talking PvP I would go for the Homo, max block is a godsend against melee characters and stacked resists are a must against casters.
Swap out Arachnid's Mesh and your shields for a Trang Wing. Skillwise, it's a wash with Homunculus and the -25 enemy poison resist is more important than the extra skill you lose from swapping out arachnid mesh.
I guess your resists are preatty low in Hell difficulty. If you use this toon ONLY to duells in normal difficulty... well - it may work - othervise this build is as unbalanced as it is expensive
For pvp I would rather go eni/ trang combo. It would give you -25% less to enemy p-resists in gear but -84% in gear + 60% LR + ~8k PN should be enough and you win a huge tactical advantage.
