    Cs/PVM barb charms??

    Hi,

Should I go for Warcry +45 life or 20life small charms?

What would be the difference output in life?

    Re: Cs/PVM barb charms??

Let's assume you have a pre-Battle Orders, pre-charm 2,000 hit points, level 20 Battle Orders, two weapons with +3 War Cry's on switch, and no other + skills.

Without the charms, Battle Orders provides 110% bonus to hit points at level 26.

    (2,000 * 1.1) + 2,000 = 4,200 Hit points.
Add 40x +20 life small charms
    +800 hit points
    (2,800 * 1.1) + 2,800 = 5,880 Hit points.

With 10x War Cry skill grand charms, Battle Orders grants 140% bonus to hit points at level 36.

    (2,000 * 1.4) + 2,000 = 4,800 Hit points.
Add 45 life per grand charm and 10x 20 life small charms
    +650
    (2,650 * 1.4) + 2,650 = 6,360 Hit points.

This shows that the level of battle orders is more important than better life from charms. Also, the skill charms provide a highly significant improvement on defense, increasing survivability greatly. Another thing to consider would be, charms with +maximum damage and attack rating with life. While these lack in life, they provide very competative offensive edge. These charms are more for the PvP players as they can be quite expensive. Hope this cleared things up some.

Keep in mind, +Vitality, + life per level, and +% to life are not multiplied by Battle Orders. The +% would be added to the % from Battle Orders basically, and +Vitality and life per level are added after. If you have other % life altering things such as Shape Shifting or Oak Sage these affect the base life (that being the 2,000 in the example) not the post Battle Orders life.

Woww, thanks for reply. Very helpful.

I was wondering, if I'm purely pvm I should go warcry lifer instead of Max/ar/life?

I personally think, PvM wise, that Mastery GCs are quite worthwhile, especially with life. They provide enhanced damage and attack rating through your mastery, as well as defense and resistance to aid your survival.

If your primary weapon is lacking damage, then I'd have to suggest just some cheaper +10 Max / AR charms without life (unless you want to pay alot)

With +3 WC weps and some other + skills your shout/bo should be plenty fine for PvM.
Also Battle Cry can be quite useful in higher levels for tougher monster packs. Should still be left at level 1 but with +skills its nice.

I like to use my equip to focus on my defense aspects (life, blocking, defense, etc) and my charms for the offense with life added. Things like defense and block can really go a long way especially with the high life pool a Barbarian can accumulate.

If you don't mind me asking what kind of equipment are you using.

Based on your equip I'd go about half and half on max/ar/life and wc/life actually.
