It's easier just to switch teams and let the other guy do all the work.

Did you pay him money (and get a receipt)?
If not you can't claim Attorney/Client privilege.
Like any other whore you have to pay lawyers first.

Do prostitutes work on contingency? You'd only have to pay with a successful outcome.

'boosh, you get -1 for dissing Donnie Darko in the movie review thread. Apart from that, my earlier comments stand. That is all.

and +1 from me since Donnie Darko is damn overrated

I consider Yaboosh an organized, calm, and witty poster, very much on topic given the OT standards  He respects other posters, and knows a lot about sports I guess (I see him post in those damn American sports threads I never bother to open).

I'd love to try his home brewed beer as well

No. When you get a prostitute, you are paying for their time, whether you make use of it or not. When you get a lawyer, you are paying for a service, and only pay for the hours the lawyer works.

Now this leads me to the question, "if you hire a hooker, but decide not to have sex with her, but you pay her anyway, is it really prostitution?" It still qualifies as solicitation, since the crime is offering sex for money and presumably that was agreed upon whether the act was completed or not. But is it actually prostitution if the deed goes undone?

I believe if you got caught in an undercover sting you would be charged.

Right, you'd be charged because you committed the crime of solicitation.
