    Lightning Immunes

thinking of making an infinity light sorc. question though-
any unbreakable LI in pits? or if we're on the subject, and noticable unbreable LI?

i just want to know if i need to gear my merc properly or just getting him the "stay alive" gear.

All regular monsters in the pit with LI have low enough LR to get it broken by Infinity (max 115 LR). May exclude some LE/MR bosses with initial LI, like LE Rogue Archers, for example.

What Berg said. I run the pits with my light sorc and it does happen on occassion that a rogue archer boss is unbreakable (you can end up with some really nasty unbreakable archer packs) but that's about it.

With an eth infinity your merc can poke them to death easily. (in single player games) If you plan on doing runs in full games, I'd probably try to get a fort for him, since a stone skin/LI unbreakable archer pack is going to be ugly in a full game. Of course, you can just bypass them, but what's the fun in that?

no, i'm planning mainly on 1 player runs.

    Re: Lightning Immunes

The only one I've ever seen spawn unbreakable in baal runs is Lister since he has innate light res. (33% I think) Actually, I think Bartuc can spawn as unbreakable as well, but he is less dangerous to a merc so I never really noticed. (Listers KB + being decrep'd can be ugly, generally if Lister is unbreakable, I move back far enough that baal wont decrep my merc)

And that's somewhat rare. I've seen it happen 6-10 times in 50+ solo runs.

If you are doing solo runs you don't really need fort. It helps, a lot, but it's not by any means necessary.

If you get a CTA, you can use the third Warcry it gives you that "lowers enemy effectiveness in battle" (I don't know its name or what it does specifically). That way, if your mercenary has a decent weapon, he can whack the light immunes to death.

Battle Cry, at least someone makes use of it.
