Golem prebuffs - skills on switch

Suppose my main switch is a +bspear wand and a resists shield.

My alternate switch is a wand with +3 Clay Golem and a head with +3 Golem mastery.

I'm on the Golem skills switch, and I summon a clay golem. All good, he recieved bonuses from both the +CG and the +GM. Now I switch to my +bspear and shield. Does the clay golem keep the bonuses from the +CG? Does he keep the +GM?

But you can do better than that ... get a wand with +3 to Summoning Skills and (if you can find it) a head with the same, or any skill boost. Or maybe Lidless wall.

generally the only time you'll really want to go bonka's ballistic on golem pre-buffing is if you choose to make an Iron Golem out of an Insight or Infinity weapon.

Yeah, swap out the +3CG wand for a +3summoning Skills wand because it will give you +3 to CG, +3 to GM, and +3 to Summon Resist, which, by itself, would make your CG stronger than your current wand/head combo. Any useful shrunken head just adds to that. A +3sum wand with your current head would give +3CG, +6GM and +3SR.

+3 summing wands can be shopped pretty easily (just a few minutes if you get a game with the A2 entrance next to Drognan). And they often have other useful mods to boot.

Anytime you summon minions, whatever your present skill values may be, the minions will receive - and continue to be - whatever skill bonuses on their initial cast.

It is for this reason that people commonly keep an Arm of King Leoric in their inventory or on weapon switch. It goes without much explanation that a stronge minion creates a stronger army, and subsequently, increases both killing speed and your mercenary's and army's, not to mention your own, longevity.

One thing to note is that you may lose the maximum number of skeletons when you take the weapon off or make a weapon switch. A few skeletons may suddenly drop, but realize that if their damage, Attack Rating, Defense, Life, and Summon Resist were much higher than they were previous to the weapon switch, losing a few Skeleton Warriors and/or Magi will not be a terrible thing.

The only time this work a little differently is with the Iron Golem, which I can elaborate on if you questions concerning it, but if you do not, then I shall not.
