Ok - I have played this a lot (I own 2 full sets with one coming from 1.08 so no partial bonuses and some slight differences like that) both use the full set and are basically Fish/summons builds one with a lot more basic points spread in curses and the other with just amp and decrypt + the pre-lim's for decrypt.
The second is more current build, and what my question is about, I have been using Fire skills (Trangs full, + a Rising Sun Amulet) to get the body's going, I have gear as have played long time so uses Marrows boots (but have to pop on the Enigma from Cube to equip them then pop back to Trangs armor to self support them whem weapon switching - but I do this anyway to TP) HOTO, Vary the rings (Nagle Mandel, BK, Wisp or SOJs depending and I just picked up a C Wind) with the C-Wind I really don't see much in the way of the P-nova with my meat shield (Extra Large) as I do carry mages, the reason being that my merc uses Infinity (4 convection) and bramble. (I played 3 seasons ladder ok)
So I'm thinking about sockets the big 3 and I'm leaning toward fire faucets for the extra fire damage/Immunity break but with fire being as high and hard to break as it is, would I be better spending some of the excess points in the poison tree and using poison faucets in the sockets?
I use 2 of the wing one on each switch with a AKL or a White (with LT if I could have found a White base with LT & Decript in it I could have just pumped amp and left the rest of curse tree alone) on the switch so I could vary that up but the Armor & Helm I have to decide.
Anyone play with this before? If not can one of the Math wizards advise on my better way to break immunes and do damage with merc running conviction and the Trangs +3 Firemastery and +2 all fire skills from rising Sun = VS the Trangs -25% Poison Resist base bonus on the Wing.
What level skills would I need to run in poison to match up with what Trangs and RS Ammy +2 gives in Fire?
If your going the poison route...get a death web. While you could use poison factes in the shield...it would be worth it to use perfect diamonds instead for the resists...unless your using a anni and torch with high enough resists to give you max reists in hell...in the case I would use the poison facts.
I don't believe fire facets will further your fire skills given by the set...because it is just a set bonus.

Fire Facets and +skills will help the fire skills granted by Trang-Oul's Avatar. However, the -resist from gear cannot break immunities. The only skills that can break immunities are: Conviction, Lower Resist, Amplify Damage and Decripify.
That being said, I'd say poison facets are the way to go, because poison builds already need all the help they can get.
Ok but I'm already casting decriptify or lower resist or AMP depending on if I trying to break one or a bunch and if it's PI or elemental, and my merc is using conviction, I know my amp effects PI for the pets, as does the mercs conviction for his lighting damage.
I'm not sure if his conviction effects my fire or poison or the Mages attacks?
This seems like it is a great build for breaking imunities.
I can see all my +1 to all skills and +2 fire bonus from the Rising sun do effect it and it comes with +3 fire mastery built in. The Fire type mages seem stronger than the others but I run a clay golum not fire as fire draws to much attention, it also has a nice effect on the CE damage which is 1/2 fire based.
Sol or Ber Rune in Armor, Shaels in Shield and Helm although since Faster Block Rate does not benefit you in Trang's anmation, maybe a PDiamond, Sol or Dol instead.
I would put facets in it. Poison facets if you want to greatly increase your poison damage. Fire facets would be my 2nd choice.
The Firewall from Trangs is so strong with a lower resist curse. I don't know why more people don't use it.
