Well I had this idea in mind for a level 30 low level dueler. I'm new to LLD'ing, so bear with me.
20 Holy Shock
2 Resist Lightning
Rest into unnecessary prerequisites.
My weapon would, of course, be this wonderful little unique gem:
One-Hand Damage: (18-22) To (30-37) (24-29.5 Avg)
Required Level: 30
Required Strength: 55
Base Weapon Speed: [-10]
+80-120% Enhanced Damage (varies)
+50% Damage To Undead
Adds 3-5 Cold Damage, Cold Duration: 3 seconds
Adds 1-6 Lightning Damage
Replenish Life +10
+1 To Fist Of The Heavens (Paladin Only)
+3 To Holy Shock (Paladin Only)
+3-5 To Resist Lightning (Paladin Only) (varies)
(Only Spawns In Patch 1.09 or later)
Requiring exactly level 30, I got in lucky. I don't know much about its damage, I'm not much of a melee person, but the +cold damage to chill people, the +3 to holy shock and resist lightning for extra damage, and especially the +1 to fist of the heavens are awesome.
I figure that in battle, I should charge to people to quickly reach them, zeal away with holy shock on, and if they try to escape with little health, hit 'em with an unavoidable fist of the heavens to finish them.
It's an awful weapon for level 30. Given the 2 types of elemental damage, you'll evoke the MDR bug with every hit if your opponent is using MDR at all(and they should be) via String, Spirit, Vipermagi, etc. Shop or trade for a War/Divine Scepter with(minimum) 3 FoH + 3 Conviction.
Furthermore, Zeal isn't all that viable at level 30. It CAN be, mind you in GM 1v1 duels.
You're better off finding or trading for the scepter mentioned above, slapping in 5 Shaels and making a 30 V/T(FoH/Smite) with a point in charge.
I'll reconsider, but a Divine Scepter with 5 shaels would be fast and powerful, I presume. What of this idea?
I'll put any and all quest skill points I get into might, of course, but other than that would charging into battle with such a simple attack be any strong? I was in a dueling server earlier this week, and a level 30 with the runeword Insight was dominating the competition, even players double his level. What is the best type of weapon to put Insight into?
