Blessed Aim gives extra AR?

i heard that it gives a hidden bonus to your AR, how does it work? does +skill items boost this?

Lighting Resist, Cold Resist etc. also gives extra res to your char, how does this work? i'm fairly new to 1.11 Paladin, please give me an insight thanks

Each point you put into blessed aim (excluding +skills) gives your paladin a 5% boost to attack rating.

the resist auras raise your maximum possible resist for 1% with every skill point while the aura is active, and 1% for every two skill points if the aura is not active.

I didn't know those things!!
I thought that the Paladin was the only char who couldn't use passive skills.
I have Zeal + Bh, so Blessed Aim with the AR 5% bonus is nice!
