    M'avina Strafazon

    0. About.

    - The only attack skill is Strafe.
    - Able to kill everything.
    - This build allows to have 1500 life without Battle Orders.
    - The build uses full M'avina set.

    The Set gives.
    - 1 Skills, 3 Amazon skills, 2 Bow skills, 2 Passive & Magic skills.
    - 30 Str, 45 Dex.
    - 100 All Resist.
    - 100 MF.
    - 5 ML, 20 FRW, 30 FHR.

    1. Stat Points.

    - Strength. 92 (+30 from the set).
    122 needed to wear the set.

    - Dexterity. 92 (+45 from the set and 15 from Raven frost).
    152 needed to wear the set.

    - Vitality. Rest.
    - Energy. base.

    2. Items.

    Weapon. M'avina's Caster Grand Matron Bow.
    - 40 to 207 (123.5 avg) physical damage.
    - 114 to 377 (245 avg) magic damage.
    - 137 to 270 (203,5 avg) cold damage.

    Helm. M'avina's True Sight Diadem.
    Armor. M'avina's Embrace Kraken Shell.
    Belt. M'avina's Tenet Sharkskin Belt.
    Gloves. M'avina's Icy Clutch Battle Gauntlets.

    Boots. Gore Rider War Boots.
    The source of Crushing blow, Open wounds and Deadly strike.

    Jewelry combo 1.
    - Atma's Scarab.
    - Raven Frost.
    - Bul-Kathos' Wedding Band.

    Switch options 1.
    - Demon Limb Tyrant Club.
    It has Enchant charges that boost AR.
    It requires 133 Strength, so put Hel rune or jewel of freedom in it or use items with +to strength.

    Jewelry combo 2.
    - Angelic amulet.
    - Angelic ring.
    - Ravenfrost.

    Switch options 2.
    - CtA + Lidless wall.
    It has Battle Orders to boost Life and Mana.

    - M'avina Bow with different socketing.

    Charms.
    - 1 small charm with poison damage to stop monster healing.
    - Resistances.
    - Lightning or fire damage small charms
    - AR grand charms with >100AR.

    3. Socketing.

    The set has 70IAS and 10/3 strafe.
    Socketables are Bow, Helm, Armor.

    - Shael in the bow, 15 IAS jewels in the helm and the armor to get 120IAS and 9/2 Strafe.
    - Shael in the bow to get 90IAS and 9/3 Strafe.
    - Nef in bow to get knockback.
    - Amn in bow to get life leech.
    - PTopaz in helm and armor to up MF.

    4. Skills.

    4.a. Bow & Crossbow.
    - Strafe. 20 skillpoints.
    This is the only attack skill.

    - Magic Arrow. 1 skillpoint.
    - Cold Arrow. 1 skillpoint.
    - Multiple Shot. 1 skillpoint.
    - Guided Arrow. 1 skillpoint.

    4.b. Passive and Magic.
    - Penetrate. 20 skillpoints.
    Increases AR.

    - Valkyrie. 20 skillpoints.
    This is the Tank.

    - Decoy. 20 skillpoint.
    This is the small Tank.
    Allows scouting.

    - Pierce. 9+ skillpoints.
    - Inner Sight. 1 skillpoint.
    - Critical Strike. 1 skillpoint.
    - Dodge. 1 skillpoint.
    - Slow Missiles. 1 skillpoint.
    - Avoid. 1 skillpoint.
    - Evade. 1 skillpoint.

    4.c. Skill progress.
    - Put 1 point as soon as a skill is available.
    - First max strafe
    - Then max valkyrie
    - Then max penetrate
    - Then 9 into pierce
    - Then max decoy.
    - The rest goes into pierce.

    5. Mercenary.

    - Act2 nightmare offensive mercenary.
    Might aura.
    Melee attack.
    These hit the hardest
    Get hit often.

    - Act2 nightmare defensive mercenary.
    Holy freeze aura.
    Melee attack.
    These hit hard.
    Get hit often.

    - Act1 normal rogue.
    No aura.
    Range attack.
    These hit not that hard.
    Get hit rarely.

    Yes, I've done this. Very safe. Good killing speed.

    Mav's does work pretty well for a Strafer setup. I would think, though, that AR is not exactly a problem as the Diadem grants a 50% AR bonus. With 1 point in Penetrate + dual Ravens, I have 9K AR on my Mav Frostmaiden for Strafe before buffing from Demon Limb, and after, I have 15K AR. (1 point in both Strafe and Penetrate.) I know that I could boost that quite a bit more if I swapped my +50 mana grand charms for +100 AR gcs I have on other chars. I think 5-10 points in Penetrate should be all right for a Mav's Strafer in PvM, so it wouldn't be necessary to max it, unless you plan on PvP. You'll have insane AR anyway after buffing.

    I would recommend more in Critical Strike or hybrid skills like CA/FA (which this set is just awesome for) or CS + LF (for bosses). Also, I would recommend less Vita and more Dex. Maybe 50-100 points in Vita so you have 600-700 life, then rest into Dexterity after your Strength needs have been met. (Aiming for like 250-350 Dex eventually.) You are a Strafer, after all, and extra Dex helps to generate more damage. Also, your minions should be taking most of the pounding. The set's high resist bonuses and addition to your D/A/E skills should allow you to avoid most danger.

    I went glass cannon on my girl (almost all Dex), and she still is extremely safe in Hell with 450 life. Better than my Witchyzon, I dare say. Atma's is the best amulet for the Strafer build. You can get some really nice damage then. I use Mara's on my girl, but that's because she's a Frostmaiden instead of a dedicated Strafer.

    Mav's is a great set. even comes with a little mf.

    Never thought of it on a primary strafer before but that added magic and cold damage must be pretty nice

    Forget jav skills as backup, you lose your glow :wink3:

    This build is easy to use, safe, able to kill everything. And, yes, it even has 100 MF.
    The only attack skill is Strafe, so there is no need to check who's the enemy, just get behind mercenary, valkyrie and decoy, push the right button and watch them die.
    The backup skills like FA/CA and CS/LF just make it more complicated and less safe.

    FA/CA costs 40 skillpoints. It could be taken from decoy, valkyrie penetrate or pierce. This makes it less safe.
    FA doesn't work against cold immunes and needs aiming. This makes it more complicated.

    This build uses just Strafe and Decoy. Valkyrie once in a while. This is less complicated and more safe.

    have you ever used FA?

    20 point decoy isnt necessary.

    i dont aim FA more than just spam it out in a fan or put up a decoy/valk and shoot their direction.

    just because you can handle using more than 2 skills doesnt mean others are incapable.

    I've used FA. 40 skillpoints and cold immunes are it's problem.

    20 point decoy isn't necessary and 40 point FA/CA isn't.

    FA is really spammable.

    This is not about capability, this is about diversity. Just try this build and have fun.:wink3:
