Age of Conan delayed AGAIN

Game was meant to be out in November this year, me and my boyfriend have been looking forward to playing it.. delayed again... :cry:

Durham, USA – August 10th, 2007 – Funcom announce a new release date for 'Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures'. The highly anticipated MMO is now set to release on the 25th of March 2008. By setting a new release date for the game, Funcom can continue the focus on honing, polishing and improving the heralded qualities of the game, ensuring a fantastic MMO experience when it launches next spring.


“We naturally regret that we have to push back ‘Age of Conan’. However, after careful consideration, and analysis of recent Beta feedback, we believe that the new release date is in the best interest of the gamers, our company and our owners,” said Trond Arne Aas, CEO of Funcom. “We are fully committed to delivering games with absolute qualities, and in the current MMO marketplace we know that only the best is good enough to truly succeed. With the new release date we have therefore given ourselves more time to meet and deliver on the massive expectations for the game. We are certain that our choice will ultimately pay off, and that all ‘Age of Conan’ players will get a special online experience."

Hope it doesn't suck like Vanguard did, that was a big disappointment...

Well there has already been 2 delays =/ they said the last one (which was due for release this november) was ''DEFINATELY THE LAST DELAY'' ...

Maybe they decided not to get into an overcrowded market, what with WoW, WoW, WoW, WoW, WoW, WoW and WoW to compete with.

I don't even have the time in my life for a normal game these days, let alone an MMO.

Good RPGs? Darkside of XEEN was awesome...

Oh, I neglected the non-MMO options. Can someone please dig up the up the old game threads? Some of the material there is positively hoot. Some of my favourite picks while we're waiting for that: people are torn by Newerwinter Nights series (I personally was very fond of them), but pretty much everyone that played them agrees that Baldur's Gates were good. Planescape: Torment might be the best D&D RPG there is.

If you are not a one to be dazzled by the world of sights and sounds, I still keep recommending roguelikes.

I might meet you at Warhammer Online's beta if you turn your head that way, who knows.

WoW sucks though, I've played it from release - and not everyone has the dedicated time of having to spend at least 14 hours per day to get one epic per month.

On my server alone we've had about 25+ people leave the game just this week in search of something new.

It's not getting any different or any less of a grind...
