Well if within the circle of friends it has been agreed upon that such tactic is fine than I have nothing against that, but I know I certainly wouldnt be agreeing to be in a hc group that will plop a portal at d and let me die.

I'd never do that on hardcore, too much at stake plus my buddies probably have equipment that we can all share.

Plus, when I was talking about casting portals on Diablo and Black Death, that all happened in the original Diablo, not Diablo II. There are too many rules and restrictions in the sequel for no-good PKs like me

It holds up well, you should try playing it when you get bored of part II. You can probably find it for like 5 or 10 bucks. The artwork is superior in my opinion, and also you don't rely on uniques as much as you do in the sequel, therefore everyone's using different items. Don't bother playing on battlenet though as the entire playing field is corrupted by hacks, dupes, cheats, etc.... even worse than part II.

I like being treacherous and evil, but I do it without the use of hacks. I never act like an *** and call people "noob", that's just lame. I only wish the hostility/PKing was more freeform and with fewer rules like in the days of the original Diablo. I never laughed so hard when I put a TP right beside Diablo and told my friend to come down and help me out, all's clear. Like a fool he took the TP, saw Diablo and nearly soiled his pants. I returned to town and patiently waited and after about 30 seconds I hear his dying wail! Man I laughed until there were tears in my eyes, he lost all of his gear hahaha... he was 100% pissed. :afro:

Also I used to cast TPs in the midst of Black Death so that his health would be permanently depleted, character ruined! So funny...

Anyways, another thing that is annoying is when you're doing a baal run, and you tele/run into a really tight situation and you have to tp out of there. Well everyone runs in, dies, and then yells at you. I'm guessing you're supposed to just stand there and get killed just so you can type 'don't take my tp'?

even if someone takes your gold in say, a chaos run, and they pick it up, you still get some b/c its divided among your party, so it doesnt matter if u pick it up or not :P

if you pick up your death gold you get all of it, if someone else does, its divided

Yes, I will open a portal near your body should you be slain.

Though I do agree with the OP on a number of points. I wanted to highlight this and just say that for me, every timme I have died, someone has opened a portal for me. I also goto extra effort when ever anyone dies of making sure to get a portal up and clearing the mobs.

Just a small insignificant point, but does mean maybe some people in the bnet community agree with you.:azn:
