Alright, unless there are no further complaints, I'm going to run the league this year. It will be done through Yahoo which is vastly superior to ESPN.
I think we're looking to get 12-14 players in the league. If there is an overflow of support for this idea, we'll have to break it into two leagues. Please post here if you're interested and we can get this thing rolling. Those who post will receive PMs from me asking for basic information (email address to send invites to, etc).
Let's go people.
If you have a shortage of teams I'd be happy to join.
(Rob this doesn't mean I'm giving up on the keeper league)
I'm still looking for a back up "just for fun" type league to play in this year, so I'm conditionally interested. Sorry if I missed an earlier thread on this but what do the scoring system and rosters look like?
And do we have to draft a full roster? It won't affect my decision but sometimes I like to take a flier on an extra rookie or something and see how their preseason goes and worry about snagging a kicker off waivers later. Oh, also, IDP or team D/ST units?
If this is all already covered somewhere I'm sorry again. You can just link me if you want.
Well, I'm open to suggestions, but scoring would look something like this:
All TD = 6 Points
25 Passing Yards = 1 Point
10 Rushing Yards = 1 Point
10 Receiving Yards = 1 Point
1 Reception = .5 Point
Standard stuff as far as defense scoring goes. 2 Points for INT/Fumble, 1 Point for sacks, etc.
I would vote against having to draft full rosters as I also like to just grab kickers whenever. Oh, and full defensive teams rather than individuals.
As for the roster, it depends how many people are in the league, but here's what I'm thinking:
QB
RB
RB
WR
WR
RB/WR
TE
K
DEF
If we have 10 People, I'd add another WR and another DEF most likely. If it's 12-14, I think that the above list is just about right.
That sound good to anyone? Any suggestions?
Count me in! Does the defense get points for return yards? If so, if you have Devin Hester at WR and the Bears defense, do you double up?
I could go for it
2 rbs, 2 wrs, and a rb/wr? sounds like plenty to me, I'd even get rid of a wr probably, but the way the scoring works it could be fine
live draft I assume, and I think my email is in my profile, be sure and have a clear otf nfl subject
edit - email disabled, oh well, via pm will do
I wouldn't do points for return yards, but if enough people like it then I'll throw it in there.
I'll wait until tomorrow, then set it up and send out some PMs/emails. Just want to see how many people are interested.
I pick Tampa to suck all year long for another 15+ years before us diehard fans get redemption yet again
