Tal's set for pure bowzon and hybrid?

So i'm building a pure bowzon or a hybrid for mf:ing purposes and was wondering if 3 pieces of tal (armor, helm, belt) be anywhere near as viable for her eq than other regular bow/hybrid unique gear? i know i'd lose razortail which makes me lean more to pure bow for more points in pierce.

The set gives very nice mf, res, dual leech and whatnot. The belt even has a healthy dex bonus. It sounds tempting and the style would definitely compensate some of the uglyness of tal helm

Please tell me what you think.

i've never tried it, though i've thought of about it. maybe instead of belt you use ammy? ammy and belt are both hard to take away from a bowa, though.

yea i was thinking about it too but after some comparing i'd say the belt setup is better. Even though the loss of razor migh be bigger than loss of my amu the tal's belt offers stats more suitable for zon compared to tal's amu. Anyone here who's tried this setup?

This combo was used by all rich mf-ing amazons in .09, so sorry it is not very original (yes, then amazons were used to mf). edit: same for mf-ing baba's

As for usefullness I used it a long time also and it works great. Compared to .09 now you gain 60 def and 20fcr, not a huge boost, but the original mods are still insane. I say go for it (but it will still be ugly).

Oh and i remember some zons in 09 with tals but haven't seen one in ages. i was aware i wasn't inventing anything new, more like resurrecting something old. no need to be sorry ¤_¤

I had one of those MFing MultiZons in .09, but that was ages ago.

Used Ammy over belt on mine.

I think when all was said and done, my MF was around 550 after charms and such.

Something like Tal's Chest, Helm, Ammy, PWartravs, PChancies, Dual PNagel, Ist-Buriza, PGoldwrap, and a bunch of 7%mfscs. The helm was all for mana leech. Tried different combos as well - Tal chest, ammy, belt, with shako or vampgaze for ML but you lose a lot. Tal chest, belt, helm with 35% MF ammy.

Ended up xfering it over to a sorc when 1.10 came out. Then I just dropped D2 for WoW and consoles for a long time.

So here I am starting my bowazon from scratch.

I used Tal's armor on my pit/tunnel running Witchyzon in 1.10 season 1. Since 2 items of the set doesn't give an MF bonus and 3 items would compromize my build a bit too much, I used a Steelskull for a helm. If I were really into MFing, I'd use the Steelskull and a Goldwrap over their Tals set counterparts.
