Finding Specific Uniques

Are some enemies more likely to drop a specfic unique than others?. Im trying to get some of the earlier uniques and i dont know if hell meph or normal meph is more likely to drop them. Im looking for stuff like greyform, hand of broc and torch of iro esp. Also i heard Andariel is a good canditate to drop a SoJ, is this true, and how come, and is Norm, NM or Hell Andariel more likely to drop SoJ?

And as for SoJ, NM Andariel is the most likely monster to drop a SoJ.

Also your best bet for Torch of Iro is from Coldcrow in the Cave in the Cold Plains. (Normal of course )

If you're running on Windows ATMA has a nice drop calculator to see the drop chances of different items on different bosses, etc.

My understanding was that each enemy had different chances to drop a certain type of item (for example, one boss might be more likely to drop a war scepter, whereas another might be dropping yew wands more). I don't exactly know the percentages, I use ATMA for most of that, but generally, I just like to assume normal Andy/Meph/Baal drop low level items the best.

As for the SOJ question, NM andy is most likely to drop it.

Ive been running Cold crow since i got the reply and ive had the worst luck. Did about 30 hours worth, 2000 runs id say. Got like 5-6!! knell strikers a bane ash and a friggin ethereal torch of iro!! Im going insane in what seems a time loop, is this just bad luck or what? ive been running at 300 MF. It seems i get better results with lower MF like 140 for some reason? is this just me? ive gotten every unique she has Multiple times except the torch of iro once, bane ash once, and havent got a lenymo. Every other unique ive gotten 3-8 or so times!!.

I need any tips! anything, i cant take much more of this! Lower Mf? it seems uniques get drowned out with many rares, magics and a few set items with 300 Mf but like i said that could just be me.

Well that ethread Torch of Iro is pretty sweet if you ask me. It's about 20 times as rare as the regular one and its not like you're ever going to hit anything with it. And I'm sure some Ethreal Grailers will be more than willing to trade for it.

Lenymo has a qlvl of 10. Coldcrow is only mlvl 7, so its impossible for her to drop a unique, or set for that matter, sash. Here's a list of the things she can drop:

If you've already found at least one of each of those, its time to move on to a new target.

Don't forget to walk over to the nearest door and slam your fingers in it a few times for each item you're looking for. This will help build up your resistance to pain and frustration while hunting for specific items.

@jjscud...pretty much exactly what I was thinking as I read through this thread.

I have had better luck getting TC 3's from NM and Hell Meph than MFing in normal. I just scored a Torch from Hell meph within the last few days. Good luck in your search!

Is there any other place with good chance of finding thhe unique wand, something that only drops treasure class 3. What are the chances from the gold chest in the mausoleum, caves etc. also would cold plain runs with players set to 8 be good. Im open to any suggestions to extend the runs, rather than cold crow over and over.

I would trade one of my many knell strikers for a iro, but i cant due to my d2 being stolen, i reinstalled w/ a friends cd key, but cant use bnet cause its his key. I rebought Dii not long ago but now my cd drive doesnt work. Is it possible to trade by exporting with atma or something?
