Grief Zerker vs Phase Blade

I am trying to determine which is best for my barb, who will MF Hell Diablo in hardcore, in terms of damage/kill speed. Originally, I was going to make it out of a phase blade because that's what everyone recommended to me. However, with a Berzerker Axe, I get more damage for a little less speed.

Which one would you choose and why? If both these suck, could you please give me some input on what item I should put my runes into?

I would choose pb. With the +dmg mod of grief the dmg difference between BA and PB is neglectable. But PB is much faster, which is important for a Berserker build (the build I presume you use for MFing in CS).

No matter what skill you use i would go with the phase if this is ONLY pvm.
And i guess it is as you sayd HC.

Since its pvm Hell diablo, go phase. The benefits of the zerker are +3 range, and slightly higher damage then phase, but it's slower, and it breaks, and range doesn't really matter if your running bosses in pvm. The phase will be faster, no repair costs, and range +2 is fine for what your doing, the high end damage is not as much as the zerk, but average damage is almost the same.

i dissagree with the pb idea

no matter if ur whirlwind or frenzy ba can still reach the fastest bps as long as on ba ur hitting 34% ias on weap (for whirlwind) also the extra range and dmg is usefull as well.

The only dissadvantage i can see with ba is it can break however 15k to repair is not too much imo..

Also if ur whirlwind grief + beast make a good combination plus beast can not be made in sword.

u can go ba like i said on ba u can still hit the fastest zerking speed without a problem

But WHY would you go BA??? there is just no point in doing this! For pvm range dossent matter that much. And since he will be running chaos he can count on beeing Decrypfied about 50% of the time. So the speed of the Phase are MUCH better!

PhaseBlades -> Beserker Axes for pvm.

well even with decrypt in CS u will still get slowed down no matter axe or pb. And other than this i dont see anywere where ba is at a major dissadvantage?

With a Beserker Axe greif with 40Ias you still need 85Ias to reach max FPA.
With a Phase Blade you only need 42Ias

How will you get 85 ias with a BA. Remember this is HC, StormShield is pretty much a must-have!
