KTA - new recruitment drive 4 new ladder

Hi all,
not really sure if the holiday season is over, but it looks as if some existing players are waiting for this post, so here goes ...

Would like to get a new KTA group started. For those who don't know, KTA stands for Kill Them All and is a non-twink, co-operative team, playing EuHCL. Current playing time is Monday evenings, between 19:30 and 22:00 CET.

We get all WPs, do all quests. Items found are shared out depending on needs, rather than who is fastest with the mouse. The idea is to play the game the way it was intended, starting in act 1 normal, and finishing when hell Baal is dead (we usually then do hell cows, just for fun). Needless to say, cheats, hacks, rushing, pks etc have no place here.

From previous KTA sessions, I can honestly tell you that it is a really fun group. We usually try to go for themes, but considering the ladder reset, maybe we should just go for a build that we want, even if it's a standard cookie-cutter. The usual response to the question of what char to play is to choose one that you enjoy. It is supposed to be fun, isn't it ?!?

If you think that this is something that is of interest to you, please post here, indicating the type of char you would like to play. Please note that although real life takes first place and there will be the odd session that will be missed, a certain amount of commitment is expected. Playing with a full team is great, and that is the way we like it.

We usually add the KTA_ tag to the name, to give more of a team feeling. During chats etc with other players, I'm fairly sure that Tika and DK will want to play again, but I'll leave it up the them to post their thoughts on chars etc. I'll get the ball rolling.

If we get a good response, we could start next week, although there's no hurry to get going. Rather wait until everyone is back from holiday etc and then have a full team.

If I've forgotten something important, please correct. Also ask if anything is unclear.

I've been hanging around in the 'zon Forum a lot lately discussing with Veilside the various merits of the Frost Maiden build so i'm thinking (and as you pointed out waflob) as it's a new start on a new ladder and we should choose what we want to kick it off so i'm thinking i'm gonna go for building one to see how she holds up untwinked; i have no doubts about her party-friendly skills but untwinked will be a challenge...until we get that 'Insight' ! :grin:

Well, if someone else decides they want to try a Frost Maiden i don't mind switching as it's early days and the thought of a Fanatic Ranger has always appealed to me...

I'd be settled and ready by 7.30pm GMT so you guys will be two hours into the session.

MrKaxe is also in UK. I think you're only 1 hour out, so it might be possible. Don't give up just yet :-)

I'll keep an eye on this thread. I don't care which character I play it would be nice to team up with like minded players and a few hours on a normally dull Monday evening would do the trick.

looks like we have a barb and a necro - good stuff !!
Concerning the timing, I have an idea that it used to start at 8 pm, but was moved forward because people could manage it. Gets a little extra game time in that way. Would this make it easier for you all if we considered starting at 8 ??

btw oOmpie, you're not allowed to die - it's an unwritten rule :-)
Looks like the char you described won't really be up in the front line anyway, so we'll try our best to protect you from those nasty monsters.

An optimistic count looks like we've 6 already - not a bad start.

I would be able to make 8 most of the times yeah, but I don't mind if you guys fire up the game before I get there. It's not like I will be the one providing the necessary health or anything, apart from a little Life Tap perhaps. I'll just be an increase in safety and killing speed... at least I should be

8pm will be a better start for me as well as that's 7pm Eng time so i don't have to rush my shower n food once home from the office every Monday! See how it comes from others...as long as starting later doesn't end the sessions earlier i don't mind...i play until at least 12 anyway!

Tika said 'after summer' for the restart (don't think he's gone away, thats zrk :smiley: ) so i don't think he will log in for a while :undecided: I might take a look at his profile and see if he has an email address or something...
