probably could, but i think a ribcracker would be easier to find and just as quick as a BotD

if you want to use botd, make it in ethereal great poleaxe. all other choices for base weapon are worse, great poleaxe has the best ballance of speed, damage and range.

    word.

this needs to be quoted cause too many people come in here thinking ebotd thundermaul is the way to go.

If you're playing a druid a great poleaxe is MUCH better.

I had some nice results using an eth Champion Axe and a Giant Thresher, too, although they were both extremely hard to find.

If this is PvM and you're set on an eBotD, try an Archon Staff. The 'thwack' sound pwnzors.

k so this is for PvM...i still don't see ne thing better in ne of those different weapons...a thunder maul will get the best max damage and with the 60-70 ias with botd the attack speed is at its max...the only thing that is better with other weapons is their range...how much does range matter in PvM? thanks

Max fury for Ebotd Thundermaul is 6 frames... Plus no sweet 'thwack' sound

For an ebotd ogre maul your attack speed would be 9/5/5/5/5, range=2*
    ebotd tmaul= 9/6/6/6/6, range=3
    ebotd gpa = 8/5/5/5/5, range=5

There are 24 frames in a second so one full fury will take 1.21, 1.38, and 1.17seconds, respectively for each weapon I listed. Over time this adds up although I think range may play a bigger part here. Basically, if you are surrounded by a huge pack or fighting a single monster/person and they are moving out of range you will not be able to attack them. The more monsters are in range the more monsters get attacked. In PvP especially, the farther away your opponent is and the sooner you can attack them, the better.

All this being said, if we are talking about PvM, it honestly doesn't matter. If you like to see a really big damage figure go for the ebotd tmaul. You'll one hit kill everything anyway. I have one on switch for kicks every now and then. Any botd will work just fine for PvM.

*Never understood why an ogre maul had a lower range than a Tmaul...it's so much longer.
