Something I thought of

I was just thinking today has anyone ever attempted to clear out every monster in whatever act in diablo? Maybe something cool would happen or I dont know. Just was something cool to think about although it would be extremely hard to do.

Do you mean in one sitting? When i first started playing on classic i would kill every monster, and have every square inch of the map cleared. I dont do that anymore, and i dont think ive ever cleared an entire act in one sitting o.0

Yeah, several people have made a point of doing that. Usually with something strange like a naked Necromancer in Hardcore or something.

No I'm saying clear all 5 acts every monster every boss make it so you can run around the whole game without seeing a monster. Kinda like the first quest where you clear the cave out. Maybe if you kill all the monsters in diablo something gets revealed or a cool item drops. I dunno just something I thought interesting to think about.

You mean the God of irony doesnt' decide to let Diablo walk the earth right after you have killed every monster?

I've done it...but it was with a fully geared, high level lightning sorceress so it was easy to do. Not to see if anything happened (which it doesn't), but out of complete boredom. Found some decent things in the process though.

ive tried this a few times, but ive manage to get booted from bnet and a temo ban so i cant complete it, (i get booted when flatmate logs onto his dialup)

Yeah, people do 'full clears' like this every now and then. I'm sure some people do it just as a matter of habit, especially SPers.

Incidentally, I wonder what would happen if you killed every single enemy in the game and then hit a Monster Shrine.
