Bone Necro Gear

Anywho, after reading a little about them. I decided a Bone Necro would probably be my favorite character. (HDin was also up there but Necro PvP should be better and bone armor helps so much PvM. Winder too but their slow casting was a =/.)

So yes. Looking for a good (best..ish) Necro gear build. Will pretty much buy it all regardless of price. For example I found the Paladin build of:

CoA
Mara's
Wiz
Enigma
Spirit
Trang's
Arach's
Raven
Wisp
Rare or whatever

But the necro section seems to have a completely different idea on all of this for some reason.

For PvP purposes I would go max block over pure vit. If you do max block your goals should be to attain 86 fhr and 125 fcr and wel, max block.

For gear on a max block bone necro:

2/20/20 Circlet
15 FCR ammy with good mods
Hoto
Enigma
SS or Homunculus(damage reduction or + skills, up to you)
Trangs
Arach
SoJ
10 FCR ring with good mods
Treks, Rares

That should get you the 125 FCR and the ability to get max block as well. Depending on some of the mods on your rares and your gear choices use charms to get enough fhr. Get some SC's to get good resists.

I choose max block because it gives you the ability to take on melee and still kill casters while pure vit kind of sucks against melee.

My PvP nec:

Helm: +2 Nec skills/20% FCR (+other mods) Circlet
Armor: Mage Plate Enigma
Belt: Arach
Gloves: Trangs
Ammy: +2 nec skills/18% FCR (+other mods) Amulet
Rings: SoJ/BK 5% (Thanks mythos)
Shield: Spirit Monarch
Weapon: Hoto (all-around)/White wand +3 PNB/+5 spear/+2 spirit/+3 bone armor(+ other mods)
Switch: +6 CTA/Spirit
Charms: Nec torch/anni/9x PNB (+lifers) +10x 5 Resist All/20 Life Small Charms
Stash: stormshield, verdungos, homunculus, lots of sorb rings (raven/wisp etc.) kiras etc.

This build can go max block, but It doesnt have to. That's why there's a stashed SS, I don't use it really.

forgot: i havent dueled much with him but he can sweep all pubs so far, waiting for some higher skilled gg duelers to own me. hehe

Ah, that helps a lot actually. How much damage is he doing about? And what +P&B does that end up as?

That's almost the exact build I was thinking. =]

Also, what about max block in PvM? Will Bone Armor block out all physical anyway or not?

His damage right now is a lot, it's about 7k spear, and 6k spirit with or without charms (totally forgot if i looked/twinked at his damage with my charms on or in stash, but someone else should be able to tell) while max block builds get around 2.2k less damage, but, the damage doesn't matter that much, the 125 FCR and 86 FHR matter more. I'll give you full details next time I'm online, haven't been on in 2 days.

Most of the build ideas were from someone named "Crai", slightly twinked by me.

In PvM, I'm not so sure about that question, sorry I'm not qualified to answer it :undecided:

Hm, not really sure what to do but I'm almost set on making a necro now.

I guess I'll just wait for the PvM answer. It's one of the main problems with my making a necro. I'm not sure if he can even ladder climb (soloing/friends).

The main problems any necro can get are actually if you happen to meet greater mummies (especially in combo with OKs and gloams) in hell WSK, and gloams themselves if u have no wisp projector and max Lres.
But this is rather not much dependant of the build.

in 8-player hell games, a good bone-nec should be able to easily sweep every monster and own every boss. (- solo ubers/ solo d clone)
so rushing and soloing should be no problem

Ah, that works. The only question would be survivability then. Which is my main concern ladder-climbing. Since one death means like an entire day. =/
