Ok, I have a problem: I can't join any games in USeast...
I can connect to B.net just fine, I can login to my account, I can choose my character, I can enter the chat and chat normally, I can even see the info of the game that I'm about to join (or atleast try to join)
but when I try to join the game, the "please wait" window comes and my computer freezes for about 10 seconds. After that it moves to loading screen, but it doesn't progress. (The door don't open)
and after about 10 seconds, the game shows error message "Failed to join the game" and returns to main b.net screen (the one with chat and games list)
And if I try to create a game, the game just freezes and then returns to the main b.net screen
Has anyone experienced this before? The game worked just fine yesterday...
And no, I didn't install anything, nor did I change any firewall settings, I played Diablo 2 as last thing before I shut the computer yesterday, and it was the first program I ran today...
any ideas? I have tried closing my fwl and anti-virus completely, but it didn't work.
edit: should also mention that I have LoD

Well, it this is the case for any realm, it sounds like a firewall problem.
Try here...

Also, make sure the windows XP firewall is not getting in the way, or any other router/firewall/modem box for any high speed internet you might be using.
Could the network you are connecting with be limiting traffic over certain ports?
I'm still unable to join any games, I tried openning the ports needed, but nothing.
I think I'll just re-install the game later today...
Sorry for double posting, but I can't find the edit button anymore...
Anyhow, re-instaling the game didn't work, and now I'm out of ideas.
edit: what the...? I can see edit button in this post, but not in the 2 first...
You can only edit within the first hour of posting. After that it goes away. More a trade forum thing than anything I guess.
To go to your original question, are using on a wireless connection? Sometimes I get the same problem and right click the wireless icon and "repair". If that doesn't do it I unplug the router and plug it back in.
Yes in fact I am, but I have tried reseting the router multiple times.
But I think I can assume that the problem is in the router, now I just need to figure out what excatly is the problem...
Does anyone have any ideas?
please post if you do have, because this thing makes me crazy!
(And it causes minor withdrawal symptoms)
ya same thing just happened to me...
the one thing i hate about diablo 3 is the network my internet works fine but sometimes at my house when bad wheather this will happen and lagspikes come its rediculousi know its not me
