My first goal is accomplished!

Goal #1 - Mat/Pat atleast one character of each class - DONE!

LoD 1.11 - RRM/RWM - No Trade or MP.

Today i took my IK-Barb through Act5 Hell and killed Baal. He is my 10th Pat/Mat and now i have atleast one Mat/Pat of each class. I started to play SP around June 2006 so it took me less then a year.

I think this is a good time to show you my progress. Lets start with the chars i have built.

Favorite Character: Hypatia the Shadow Knight. Even though i like casters better then melee i really enjoyed this char. I had the most fun with her through the game. The build is not very common wich means it get some style points.

My next goal.

Level some of my existing characters.
Build unusual and fun builds.

Make atleast one guardian.
Complete the self found Grail.

I will continue to build characters that i think will be fun to play. I want to create some runewords aswell but im not really interested in Hellfroge running so i think i will pay the countess a visit or two. I don't think i will be able to create runewords like Enigma but perhaps Oath, Death, Crescent Moon and perhaps Hoto.

I have thought about going back to HC. On B.net i was actually playing HC exclusively. But once i discovered the beauty of SP i decided to play more casual and went back to softcore. Perhaps i will start a Trapper in HC and see how it goes. I do want atleast one guardian in SP just too see if i can pull it off solo, on b.net i had help from other people.

Finishing the self found grail would be awsome but its unlikely to happen anytime soon, i still have less than 50% Elite Uniques...

Good job! I'm trying to finish the game in each class too, but I constantly get sidetracked by making builds in classes I have already finished (mainly assassins and sorceresses). So I admire your determination playing classes you might not enjoy that much just to complete the goal.

Was your paladin any fun?

Congrats! I finished the SC septavirate myself just last week. I have more pat/mats than you, I was just bored with fishymancer, so finally I have patted another nekro build - venomancer.

stephan: Personally i did not find the Frost Zealot to be a fun character. But i'm more into casters then melee.

I also got sidetracked a few times, the chars that i had most problem with was Paladin and Barb. The fishymancer was also parked in ACT2 Hell for a few months.


Zaliqai: I usually try to name my characters from pre-socratic philosophers. Not all of them though.

Too bad i named one of my least favorite chars with the name of my favorite pre-socratic philosopher, Pyrrhon.

Hrus: Congratulations on your accomplishment aswell. Did you create a thread about it? I have also thought about creating a venomancer, perhaps even a Daggermancer. I had one on HC B.net and i really enjoyed playing him.

Thank you. I mentioned him in Ugla's Third Crusade thread, he was played with Ugla's paladin in MP.

IIRC, there was some nice Venomancer Pat thread not so long ago, but I can't remember the member posting it (Thyiad... Cormallon??)


EDIT: I am not really an assassin fan - what is the Shadow Knight build?
