Signs in the halls? Please, link me.
There are two ways to find Nihlathak quickly once you are in the Halls of Vaught.
1. Look at the wall signs. Somebody posted a few screenshots or an ASCII graphics about it. I don't know where it is right now, however.
2. enter any branch. If he's there, fine. If there's an evil urn next to the entry, go back and he will in the branch to the left. If there's a champion pack, he's in the opposite branch. If there's none of it, he's in the right branch.
I'm using method #2. Teleporting up and down a branch takes just a few seconds which won't talke longer than checking 1-4 walls for the correct sign (which might also be a little dangerous).

Anything similar for arcane?
Arcane, simple. The Summoner will be down the last path you search almost without fail.
But seriously, a bunch of people analyzed the crap out of the AS and didn't turn up any clues to the correct path.
I used a pretty well decked out Chainorb for all 3 key runs.
I put an enigma on my smiter, now I can do Nihlathak runs in about 30 seconds. This is also the safer because I can TP right next to him and smite him without killing anything else (no need for RIP). As long as you can take a few hits while smiting Nihl, this is the fastest way I can imagine.
NIk is cake if ur merc has infinity for almost any sorc... i only have 10K meteor and once i put infinity on my merc, i 1-2 hit merc while i tele in circles.... though i do get sick....going in circles
