Would a character with dual raven and blackoak shield completely negate Frozen Orb even with -100 res or am I doing something wrong with my calculation?
My calculation:
assuming frozen orb = 1.2k dmg per shard (heard that it is possible)
* 1/6 pvp penalty = 200 dmg per shard
* (-100 resist) = 400 dmg per shard
* 40% absorb = 80 dmg per shard
- 50 cold absorb from luna = heals 20 life...
I'm curious to know if that is the correct order in which the game computes these figures?
To answer your question - I don't know, unfortunately![]()
from http://www.battle.net/forums/thread....eplay&t=163465
Damage is applied in a predetermined order. It is as follows:
1) XvX penalty (for example Player vs. Player = -5/6)
2) Sorceress Energy Shield
3) Necromancer Bone Armor and/or Druid Cyclone Armor
4) Integer DR/MDR
5) Percentage resists (including DR%)
6) Percentage absorb
7) Integer absorb
so the order of my calculation should be correct
Yes with 2 raven and blackoak you will gain hp from orb.
so orb would be like completely useless pvp cuz u can negate it with only 3 piece of equipments... resists gears aren't even required...
True, if your opponent goes BM. From what I heard, in supposed GM duels, you are not supposed to have more than 1 piece of sorb or +max resist equipment
if they were being really nasty, they could throw on a snowclash too.
