But now, the socket. I have 60 str (level 72) so I'm nowhere near equipping it. Is it a waste to put a hel rune in it? An Um would be nicer ofcourse, but I'm kinda worried about equipping it.

Get a jewel of freedom with optional extra mods. A Hel is always wasted if socketed in anything other than a weapon or a runeword.

What armor are you using? Consider Enigma for +strength.

do you have anni and a torch? Coh and treks gives str too. And you could also use str charms and a +str ring. Their not hard to find, magical rings can give 20 str.

I just restarted from scratch, so my gear is mostly runeword stuff like Spirit (Wizardspike now) and Rhyme etc. Maybe wartravelers should be the next thing to aim for, Wizardspike solves my resistance problems anyway for now.

Enigma will be out of my reach, so far I got all my gear by handing in a few pgems and a Lem I got from nightmare hellforge

One more question:

I have a -15% req jewel in it, lowering the str req to 133. Because of the 30 str on the shield I can now remove gear that I'm only wearing for the strength.

I do play on Bnet however, I am going to take a risk of being popped right? Should I keep my strength at 133?

I would advise against glitching any gear on with its own +str mod. You won't pop these days, but you also won't be able to equip it once you pick your bod up.
